He doesn't believe in it. Remember what happened with Bret and Shawn? The period after Austin and Rock were finally gone? We have been moving on from Triple H for nearly a decade now. It is insane.Nonetheless, why is it so hard for Vince to see that his audience is not only crying for a change in direction but a changing of the guard as well?

While the early days of the brand split were horrible with HHH (SD was awesome until they decided they had to ruin it), it wasn't really until WM XX that we started the "moving past" Triple H. And then it just kept going, and going, and going...Actually close to 15, pushing 20 years now with Triple H.

Vince's ideals haven't worked since Hogan. They all flame out in a few years. It is those that buck his trend that have had lasting appeal. That and I think it's his ego. The fact is, the WWE and Vince had essentially NOTHING to do with Bryan getting over with the fans like he is today.
He doesn't fit the mold of what Vince considers to be an ideal superstar. He's neither the height, nor has the physique or great good looking looks that Vince normally goes for, and that's probably eating him up inside.
The ONLY reason why Rey Mysterio got a chance at the WM Main Event back in 06 was because of Vince shamefully riding off Eddie Guerrero's death and wanting to capitalize on it.
Heck, notice on how John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, and Triple H are like the only ones to have consistently maintained their high positions within the last 10 years.
Everyone else has had their momentum either disrupted or never really got the chance that they deserved.
It is insane. I stopped watch for the most part for a few years (I took the Eddie and Benoit thing hard), only checking in every once in a while. And when I came back a bit more hardcore... there was Triple H in the main event still. Then he comes back…and comes back…and comes back…it's so strange.
Nothing has ever been that disgusting, though this is close.I've said this before but Batista winning the Rumble is seriously about as disgusting as Hogan/Bret/Yoko from Wrestlemania IX.
It's going to take a LOT to get me even remotely interested in WMXXX.
