The X-Men were supposed to all wear coats in X2

You know the long coat Cyclops wears when he takes Prof X to visit Magneto? All the X-Men were intended to wear them. If you check out the comicbook adaption, they all wear then for the climax, and also this promotional image.

I remember when that promo shot of Logan was released. It's understandable why it was left out since it wouldn't serve much purpose in battle.

Storm and Jean where long coats when they go to Boston to talk to Nightcrawler. Jean's was leather and had a beautiful Phoenix bird on the back but unfortunately you cant seen it in the final film.

On side note: Why didn't they release a comic book adaptation of X3?

There probably wasn't time for an X3 comic adaptation, since the whole production was rushed and stuff. Probably if there was one we'd see it stick close to the script (which would include the phoenix effect and fire and stuff, which was in the script).

Cyclops wears one too when he and Professor Xavier visit Magneto in prison... but I don't think the X-Men would have worn them during the climax, as it kind of negates the purpose of showing off their uniforms.

Glad to see the idea of The X-Men all wearing coats was eventually changed. That would have done nothing but remind me of The Matrix.

I think is a good idea, but not for all the x-men at the same time.

I'd really would love to see Rogue with a coat. I think she would look really sexy, and maybe a little older.

They should have given them better costumes all together. That leather was dumb and Singer just did that from the start because the Matrix was popular at the time.

The variety in films is always well recieved. Seeing the x-men always with the uniform alone would be boring.
I also hope to see the second uniform more times in the rest of the members (the one Halle used in Alkali Lake in X3). Was really cool, would love to see Kitty and Rogue with it. And the male version too, specially for Angel and Kurt.

Some friends told me Rogue body was a bit big, but I wanted to post the manip like that. I know the pose is the same for the three, and thougth about changing, making the three look different from the rest, but I was happy with the result.

And yes, they look like FBI, hehe, I saw that feeling too, and I liked it, hehe.

I like the idea of the x-men protecting something, that's why I like this manip. I know is not perfect, need a few improvements, etc. but I think I won't be working more on it, for all these reasons.

If anyone would like to work with it, do it, I don't have a problmen with it.

I should continue working in other manips I started time ago, that were looking great.

It works but it's something that deserves to stay where it's at. Really doesn't seem to fit except for those who did wear coats in the film.
