Is this the first time we get to see Brainiac? Around what year is this? My dad once gave me what was spared of his quite huge childhood comic collection from around 1949-51. Pure silver age goodness (and good God how awful I felt later realising I literally destroyed that treasure as a six/seven year old kid who didn't understand what I've got and just saw it as like disposable comics (!!). It severely haunts me still today..).

Anyhows, I never remember Brainiac frome these years. I always felt he was invented maybe in early-mid 60s or so? Please correct me here.

Ah ok, we've already got this far in the countdown. Stupid me thought we were still in early/mid 50s. So Braniac is from late 50s, that's awesome.

But one thing is clear though, Luthor clearly ripped off Brainiac's colours for his own power suits later on.

You need to read up a bit about fashion rules, Lex!
