Reprints and digital versions of old comics can appear way too oversaturated at times. The original print shown below makes it much clearer that the imposter character actually has brown hair. It's still not as dark as Superman's jet black colored hair, but at least it's closer. The goatee is another story. Maybe Lois thinks it's a fake and tries to rip it off.
