I liked that moment because it taught him not only to control his super hearing, but it's actually brought up again when Zod intimidates Martha.

Yeah, it's cool that the Kents taught Clark mindfulness techniques to cope w/ his powers, but at the same time I felt like it would require more time and concentration on his part.
