Has anyone seen or heard of a list of theaters in circulation that will be holding the Bat-Marathon?
I've called multiple NYC cinemas and each had a young girl working the phones who had no idea what I was talking about and told me to call back in two weeks...They didn't understand that I need a theatre to buy tickets from Monday...
If you're in the Michigan/Indiana area, Celebration! Cinema is doing it as well.
National Amusements Showcase Cinemas, a leader in the motion picture exhibition industry, announces today that it will host The Dark Knight Marathon as a special event to celebrate the release of newest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, opening in theatres July 20, 2012.

This chain only have 4 locations in the state of Virginia. And here.. we.. go! JUST ANNOUNCED: Tickets for The Dark Knight Rises will go on sale on Monday afternoon. We will also be hosting a Batman Begins - Dark Knight - Dark Knight Rises marathon on Thursday 7/19
I'd love a Batathon, but I'm not going if it's not in IMAX, and I think this is the case.
I'm not sure if Batman Begins was shot in IMAX at all, but it can still be played on an IMAX screen.
I'm really trying to decide whether or not I'm going to do the marathon in theaters. Seeing Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on the big screen again would be cool and all, but then I'd have to deal with restless people for nine hours .
^that will be only for one screen though, like 1 screen will be taken up with the marathon and those people will have dibs on best seats for that screen's midnight showing
but as long as the theater is digital there should be many other screens in the theater also showing it at midnight; and getting early makes a difference for them
i'm pretty sure you know what i mean, but to be clear--a huge multiplex can have anywhere from 5-16 screens showing TDKR at midnight depending on demand, and only 1 of those many screens will have the marathon
