Has anyone seen or heard of a list of theaters in circulation that will be holding the Bat-Marathon?

Do you see a theater list located anywhere on that search link? I went the Google route and did not find anything. There is no need to be condescending, especially if you're wrong.

What I am asking, to be more specific, is has AMC released which SPECIFIC theaters will have the Bat-Marathon, as I understand it will not be every theater.

If you're in the Michigan/Indiana area, Celebration! Cinema is doing it as well.

I've called multiple NYC cinemas and each had a young girl working the phones who had no idea what I was talking about and told me to call back in two weeks...They didn't understand that I need a theatre to buy tickets from Monday...

I'd wager the 42nd Street AMC in NYC is having the marathon as it was the only one that did it for Avengers. I think the marathon will be limited to a few theaters as TA one was, but it would be nice if more did it.

I guess my question for all of this is will the Bat-marathon's been included in IMAX? I've only seen all three films for standard theaters so far.

I hope so. I'm not sure if Batman Begins was shot in IMAX at all, but it can still be played on an IMAX screen. I wonder how much tickets would cost for a three film marathon...I'd imagine upwards of $30.

@Steyin, that's my hope. I anticipate heading there Monday. I just wish I would have gotten the tickets for the Lincoln Square midnight premiere back in December :csad: ...I was so dissapointed in myself as a fan hahaha

Yeah I'm driving up from northern Indiana to watch Rises at the Celebrations North IMAX in Grand Rapids. They're running the marathon but I want to know if the marathon will be shown in IMAX or not.

National Amusements’ Showcase Cinemas, a leader in the motion picture exhibition industry, announces today that it will host The Dark Knight Marathon as a special event to celebrate the release of newest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, opening in theatres July 20, 2012.

Tickets for the Batman marathon will go on sale Monday, June 11, at 12:00 p.m. The marathon will feature the complete Christopher Nolan trilogy of Batman films. After presentations of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the marathon will culminate with a 12:01 a.m. showing of The Dark Knight Rises. All three films will be shown for the combined price of $25 per ticket. The Dark Knight Marathon will begin on Thursday, July 19 at 6:15 p.m.

Showcase Cinemas will feature The Dark Knight Marathon at 30 theatres. For a list of participating theatres and to purchase tickets for The Dark Knight Marathon visit showcasecinemas.com.

Tickets for 12:01 a.m. advanced screenings and a full schedule of show times for The Dark Knight Rises will also go on sale Monday, June 11, at 12:00 p.m.

Still no confirmation on whether or not IMAX screenings will be taking part in the marathon, hope it comes through though.

At Prometheus last night a manager (I guess) came in to let us know that the film would be starting soon and to mention that TDKR tickets go on sale Monday. She brought up the marathon but said that she -did not- know if they'd be one of the theaters doing it. Apparently they'll get that information today. So I guess there should be an official update soon. This was an AMC theater just to be clear.

That is exactly what happened to me when calling Lincoln Sq

I'd love a Batathon, but I'm not going if it's not in IMAX, and I think this is the case.

I wasn't going to at first, but I changed my mind.

I'll be seeing BB and TDK in the marathon, then leaving to see TDKR in IMAX.

None of BB was shot in IMAX. I saw the midnight premiere of BB in King of Prussia, Pa on their IMAX screen. They ran it on that screen for many weeks too. Hoping they're on the list for the marathon.

You know what this means? TDK will make more box office money, and potentially beat The Avengers, lol. :oldrazz:

I'm really trying to decide whether or not I'm going to do the marathon in theaters. Seeing Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on the big screen again would be cool and all, but then I'd have to deal with restless people for nine hours :csad:.

I'm more concerned with the fact that people will already have their seats 6 hours before TDKR. :csad:

Basically, if I wait in line to see TDKR, there will already be people with good seats from 6:15pm. Which means that it doesn't even matter what time I get there - people already have better seats than me even if I'm the first in line for TDKR.

^that will be only for one screen though, like 1 screen will be taken up with the marathon and those people will have dibs on best seats for that screen's midnight showing

but as long as the theater is digital there should be many other screens in the theater also showing it at midnight; and getting early makes a difference for them

i'm pretty sure you know what i mean, but to be clear--a huge multiplex can have anywhere from 5-16 screens showing TDKR at midnight depending on demand, and only 1 of those many screens will have the marathon

So you don't think the marathon will interest a lot of people? You don't think they'll sell out? I can't imagine the marathons not even filling up one theater.
