Starting over from scratch is such a stupid idea. The first film was good enough and had an excellent cast, so I don't see why they shouldn't make a real sequel to it, and bring in more from the comics in the process. I'm crossing my fingers that Avi Arad is just talking out of his @$$ again.

It was good under the assumption that the sequel would be better. And personally I hold it as one of the better comicbook films of the last 6 years.

They'd have to be completely and utterly drunk on the set of this re-make, 24/7, to **** up the same movie twice! It doesn't have to be a feel good summer pop-corn flick like Spidey. It should just be free of all that excess psycho babble. While watching Hulk, it felt as though i was watching a training video on becoming a Psychiatrist rather than viewing a Marvel movie...it was unnerving.

all the people who think Marvel are going to f**k up the new Hulk use Xmen3, FF, Daredevil as examples as to how they would screw it up. These are all Fox films. Marvel will try their best, they will hire the best people they think is right for the character and the movie.

I just dont trust marvel lately, i think they have made some terrible decisions with a lot of their movies not just the Fox one's. Until i hear something better coming from them, i will continue to believe they dont have a clue what they are doing.

fair enough, the only movie marvel themselves have done is Avengers, that was ok. I don think Marvel will go forward witrh a script unless they are sure %100 that its the right one. Hulk and IM are too important to f**k up.

Well it just showed me when they signed Penn for this. The guy has never had a hit movie in his life, and they sign him up for 2 or 3 future projects!!! Alvin Sargeant, David Hayter, Joss Whedon, these are the people they should be signing up for future projects.

Penn has never written a good movie IN HIS LIFE. Thats why i think he sucks, dont get me wrong, i would love for him to prove me totally wrong and belt out a great Hulk SEQUEL. But i cant see it happening, and i'm sorry, but Arad has let Fox get away with MURDER, and he definately had some say on how all of those movies turned out.

the guy is just starting out, Fox can do what ever they want because they bought the rights, either Avi says yes and makes some money or they would have told him a f**k off. He had little to no input, All he does is bring in extra money. Your pissed at Penn for writing X3 and what they did with Cyclops. Without Fox over his shoulders, Penn should be able to put out a great film... i hope.

I dont like him (or his writing skills even) becuase X3 was a **** movie, and one that has ruined my childhood dreams of a movie about the Pheonix saga. X3 was a bad movie, thats why i dont like him.

i dont think he's at fault for that, Fox is the main reason for that. Not him, if he f**ks up the next Hulk movie, then you'd be right

Oh i do count Fox as the main ****-ups were X3 was concerned, but Penn, Kinberg and even Ratner all contributed ****ty scenes, diologue, etc that i still hate them for.

Ofcourse he doesn't, Singer followed the comicbooks to a T. Wolverine was always the leader, Storm was always a whinney b**ch and Rogue was always a whinney little Jubilee knock off.

He didnt in the first movie, and the second movie was based on a comic that had even less Cyclops in than X2 did. They added extra Cyke scene's in the script stages because they wanted him in it more than he was in the comic. Also its clear that the end of X2 set up Cyclops to be a major character in Singers third movie, and the writers of X2, who Singer took with him to SR have srecently described how they would end the movie and believe me, it is all about Cyclops, Wolverine is not even in sight in their ending.

I have NEVER gone around saying i hate Ang Lee ever. And i didnt mind the changes in the Hulk movie because, i was never as big a fan of that character as i was the X-Men and also origin movies are very hard to get right. I have never complained about the changes in X1. But X3 is based on the Pheonix Saga. One of the best stories ever written, and there are certain aspects of that that you just dont change. I'm happy they changed some things, do you hear me moaning about the omission of the Shi'ar? Do you hear me complaining about the omission of the battle on the moon? NO because these changes are acceptable. But other changes they made are not IMO.

Ofcourse they would say that now, if they actually went down to writing it, i bet you they would have changed it. Wolverine is the character Singer developed in the first 2 and totally f**k Cyclops. I wasn't saying you were running around saying you hated Ang. Sheesh. Can you see the similarites between you and I? You hated the changes to The Dark Phoenix story. I hated the changes to The Hulks story. I'm not a big X-men fan, I'm a Hulk fan. I'll agree that changes are sometimes necessary. However, from what you just said really gets me. You're not a "big" Hulk fan yet you think the changes, to one of the greatest origins and character comic history, were necessary? If you're not such a "big" fan, where do you get off saying this? I could say the same about the X-men movies but I don't. I wouldn't insult the fans of the characters buy saying they needed to be updated. I liked the X-men movies. I liked X-men 3. Not so much for the story, but because it was entertaining. I understand that there are a lot of hard core fans that hate it and I respect them and feel their pain. Maybe now you'll understand where this Hulk fan is comming from.
