If the names Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer don't register, these are the two talentless f***holes responsible for "Date Movie", possibly the least funny movie I've ever had the misfortune to lay eyes upon. Now, I'm as much a fan of dumb comedy as the next person. Don't get me wrong; but, these guys wouldn't know funny if it came up from behind them, raped them, then posted the blooper reel on Myspace. Bottom line is that these guys give people who actually know how to pull off dumb comedy(Farrelly Bros., Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Kevin Smith, etc.)a bad name and they must be hunted down and have Order 66 initiated all over their ******ed holes.

I agree. I think the reason they fail so miserably is because their "dumb comedy" has no substance underneath it. The reason the likes of Trey Parker and Matt Stone and the Farrelly Bros., etc. excel at "dumb comedy" is because they only make the outer appearance of their comedy seem dumb, with very clever wit hidden underneath. When it comes to the likes of Scary Movie and Date Movie, however, it's... well... dumb, and not in a funny way.

I remember looking at the poster for Date Movie and seeing "From two of the six writers of Scary Movie" and thinking, holy ****, it took six people to write scary movie?
