Things You Don't Understand Thread

Sagging pants. I can not get my head around this fashion. Maybe someone here can explain the appeal of wearing your pants below your ass.
Oddly enough, this is one of the fashion trends that managed to stay around for years and years and I still don't understand it myself. Especially considering the origin of where it came from.

Also, I don't understand that thing women do when they paint their nails one color but then paint one nail another color.

I don't understand why I can't quiet my brain enough to read. I really want to, but there are sooooo many distractions.

Try meditating every now and then. I find that helps.

I don't understand how Marlon Wayans isn't in jail for making A Haunted House 2.

Don't make me do stuff JJJ. You wouldn't like it if I do stuff.

I don't understand how things work on the quantum level. I don't understand how some particles disappear and reappear.

Yes and that's done by magic just like the tv show.

Ziggy says there's a 95% chance my brain is a grilled cheese sandwich!

That explains quite a bit. What other truths does this Ziggy speak?

Fortunately: life has a great punctuation for that. ? It's really awesome on PS1 as well in Metal Gear's amusing way of alerting security.

I don't understand why a lot of classic films are receiving remakes. Willy Wonka wasn't horrible but why are Forrest Gump and Driving Ms. Daisy being remade? That's really mind-boggling to me.

People (especially the elderly) who talk of an afterlife being this great thing (Heaven, seeing lost loved ones, being with God, etc.) doing everything they can to avoid it. Even buying into snake oil products and treatments that do nothing and might actually harm your health.

If going to God (or whatever your interpetation) is so great, why do you so fear it?

I realize it's the fear of death and the unknown which is precisely why a religious belief is supposed to counter that fear.

The Johnny Depp Willy Wonka WAS horrible imo, at least in comparison to the classic Gene Wilder version. It tried too hard to be edgy and dark, while paradoxically overly politically correct and empty.

They're remaking Forrest Gump, an academy award winning film that came out barely twenty years ago? Oye, tell me you're joking....

That doesn't surprise me. I'm waiting for remakes starting to be planned for movies that haven't even been released yet.

I don't understand most females. :funny:

Most people are concerned about where the soul (if you believe in one) goes but no one ever seems to ask where it came from. There are more people now than ever before so where does the soul originate?
