I'm not exactly a regular to the community forums, i come and go depending on how much work i have to do.

But now im self emplyed writing, and illustrating, i dont half seem to spend a lot of my time procrastinating around here and not actually getting a lot of work done.

Anyone else notice this phenomenon?
I write and illustrate my own fanfiction. I would have the dang thing done by now if I wasn't spending so much time here. Yeah, I know exactly what this is like. :p

The Hype is like some cancerous disease. That you enjoy. Sometimes. :csad:

I was very bored at work -- I make golfballs, hardly an exciting line of work -- and I used to tell myself stories to pass the time. One day, I started actually writing the thing down amd drawing pictrues for it. It has taken over my life ever since. Well, until I discovered the Hype anyhow. :D

I remember! We shared an addiction together. :oldrazz: Back in the good ol' days! The Hype is still good but you can't beat the era of LucidParody. :woot:

I love the X-men too much. :( I do have a lot of my own people in it, though.

I have no idea what it is about this place, but I think its starting to suck me in a little. I don't know. I can go days without posting, and then I go nuts and stay on for ages.

What are the symptoms of a hype addiction?

teeth grinding.
speaking in internets lingo.
and trying to make your friends understand why Jubilee would have never worked in the XMen movies because of her retro 80's look (even though they don't know who you're even talking about)

Damnit...

None of the above. I need to try harder. I did have a severe case of "What do you mean she's ONLY a comic character" the other week though. It was in a biology study session, of all things.

Sage, of all people. Shes a personal favourite simply because I want to be her, but they've made her go from cool to lame, somewhere between extreme and excalibur. We were actually talking about the fact that Ben's father, who works at the dockyard, is being royally screwed by the contract company he works for. So I chipped in, "Thats nothing. You want screwed you should see whats being going on for the Xmen in the past few years..."

I also went off on one about the fact that in Ultimate Alliance Logan is listed as being 5'6, Gambit has been ass****ed into next year and continutiy is more ****ed right now than an Ipswich prostitute. I got a little wound up with the pro-registration dickweed on the next table, and someone pulled the infamous 'Only a comic character' line on me. I got a warning for being noisy in the library, and then another for aggressive conduct.

haha!
that sounds like me when people pretend to know ANYTHING about the Xmen, especially Rogue (who i secretly hope to be when i grow up) and how they know nothing about what has happened with Gambit and his fall from grace and control under Apocalypse and how Rogue got totally ****ed out of everything that made her unique and special by that little fight between she and Deathstryke where she absorbed Sunfire. i mean, when someone says to me "who are you even TALKING about!? wasn't she going steady with Iceman and (DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU'VE SEEN THE END OF X3)
give away her powers
?" i'm like "don't EVEN get me started!?!" i'm ready to crack skulls i tell ya!:cmad:

welcome to the group...we are all messing up on our jobs
