that sounds like me when people pretend to know ANYTHING about the Xmen, especially Rogue (who i secretly hope to be when i grow up) and how they know nothing about what has happened with Gambit and his fall from grace and control under Apocalypse and how Rogue got totally ****ed out of everything that made her unique and special by that little fight between she and Deathstryke where she absorbed Sunfire. i mean, when someone says to me "who are you even TALKING about!? wasn't she going steady with Iceman and (DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU'VE SEEN THE END OF X3)?" i'm like "don't EVEN get me started!?!" i'm ready to crack skulls i tell ya!give away her powers![]()
I hate the guys who have only seen the movies and think that it makes them an authority on everything. Sure, if they say "I don't know, I only ever saw the movies/cartoon" and then listen patiently while I fill them in on the real thing, thats fine. Ok, I can accept that most people in their minds see Logan as being 6'2 whatever because Hugh Jackman was perfect for the role, just a bit tall. I can almost forgive most people for not knowing who Sage is, considering the limited space she's afforded, but when they start babbling like they know everything... GRRRRR!
It does help that our IT guy in the library has been reading Xmen since he was nine years old. He makes good backup, although he needs to do some catchup on the most recent stuff.
Oh, and when John [pro regestration boy] pipes up, and someone says 'but I thought they won the war' [as in, in the movies] I get the urge to go beat someone to death with a textbook.
