I honestly don't really care either. It sucks for his family and I feel sorry for their loss, but I don't know the kid, nor was I there myself, therefore I care not.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it either . I'm just thinking that it would be impossible to walk away from this and these youths were a-holes. I know it's kids nature to act this way but they actually were there for three hours chanting - that's a little counter productive.

No. I simply think that his actions make this less a case of people mocking him for no reason. Because lots of people get depressed, lots of people attempt suicide... not all of them hop on top of a building during the day while people are out and threaten to jump. If he really wanted to kill himself there are a lot less public ways to do it... and if he was just doing it for attention... he got it. The problem being he didn't get the attention he wanted and that probably made his cry for help into actual suicide.

What did he want from those people? Sympathy?

The basic need for attention can cause people to do irrational things. It may have been the wrong way to go about dealing with his problems but he had a teenagers mind. Unfortunately people like this need sympathy and in some cases didnt get enough attention as a child. they make it our problem when they start jumping off buildings. You can't just ignore these things....... because you are a member of a society.

I think this may be him getting too much sympathy. He was treated as a kid for so long that once he was faced with a tough time (a breakup) he snapped and just went to a tall building.

At that age I can see that . It seems kids are alot more spoiled to me these days.

We have the right mentality and can guide people like this in a better direction. I never tried to kill myself but I've been around a couple people that have. I've been in that situation where i just wanted to distance myself but you have to try and do something to help.
