From last night and tonight's tapings:

Knockouts Champion Rosemary beat GFW Women’s Champion Sienna (w/KM). Rosemary won with the Black Wedding.

Allie had to stop Laurel from kissing Shera. This lead to Allie hitting a Crossbody on Laurel & Sienna.

Impact: KM & Kongo Kong(w/ Laurel Van Ness & Sienna) defeated Braxton Sutter & Mahabali Shera. Everyone brawled to the back save the Knockouts. Sienna & Laurel had a 2 on 1 on Allie until Rosemary made the save misting Sienna.

Speaking of Impact:

Scott Steiner returns to the company without a drug policy.

With the situation they've put themselves in Mahal winning the title is an option that they have to think about. I mean there's really no point in going from 0 to 60 for a few weeks and then just having him lose and basically show that the guy is the loser he has always appeared to be, I mean what are you going to do? Have the announcers put him over after a hard fought loss, and make him sympathetic to some people? Do they want people coming out of the match with the idea that Jinder is a ruthless heel who can't go with Orton so he uses his allies and other tricks to win the title? Is he going to be this scrapper who almost beats Orton straight up and earns some respect? Is he a nobody who got lucky and Orton just destroys him? If he's a heel who does terrible things is that really how you should reach out to India?

Also on Impact:

Looks like Eli Drake is being jobbed out. He's lost every match he's competed in at the tapings this week.

Based on his promo from Tuesday, I could see him waving the Indian flag during his matches. He will cut a promo about how America has elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president and I would not be at all surprised if the travel ban was used in Jinder's storyline.

I am sure Fami is going to rant about that the way he rants about WWE decision making. :o

Vince and Trump are close friends so I definitely don't see that happening.

Announcer feuds are always bad.

Announcers who aren't or weren't wrestlers getting in the ring is always bad.

The only match between non-wrestlers that was ever any good was Bill Alphonso vs Beulah McGillicutty.

That is just a fact of life dummies. Is he leaving?

He signed his contract last May, so if it was for a year, he may be negotiating.

Well, Josh was technically a wrestler (he actually has a wins over AJ Styles and Bobby Roode). So, he can bump

If he was negotiating then:

Why is he being jobbed out at these tapings? And also being paired with the wrestler formerly known as Chris Masters?

He's a heel putting over the faces. It's wrestling. I don't see the problem in pairing him with Masters, it's hard to gauge their plans for him off Twitter reports that don't tell the whole story e.g. backstage segments.

I can see the WWE doing that. Especially since Indians aren't actually on the ban list, that's exactly what Vince would do.

WWE isn't bad mouthing the Trump administration for some cheap heat or pops. Linda McMahon is also head of Trump's Small Business Administration.

The travel ban idea doesn't make sense anyway because Jinder is Canadian Indian and a Sikh. His character wouldn't be on a travel ban.

The WWE will just continue with some general xenophobic stuff with Jinder because it gets cheap heat. All Jinder has to say is that he is from somewhere that isn't the U.S and it will trigger people into booing him.

Jindar Mahal as the champ isn't a problem to me if they go ALL in giving him a crew and just making him the despicable champ that the WWE hasn't had in a long while (since early Seth Rollins run).

My only issue with Mahal getting a shot now is that there are other "mid-level" wrestlers that could benefit from that nuclear push. Say... Big E. Super over already, great at giving promos and a ton of personality. Big E should have gotten a title shot a long time ago

He'd have to team up with Scissors in a 2 on 1 handicap match to win.

I can't believe Jinder will probably become world champ before Rusev. The only reason he's getting a push is because of the roid regiment he's been on. He's mediocre in the ring and a snooze fest on the mic. It's just mind boggling that there's even rumors of him becoming champ. Different isn't always good and this is one of those cases.

yeah, Jinder as potential champ is a headscratcher, and even more infuriating when you think both AJ AND Bray had to lose the title for that to happen.

I don't mind fresh, new talent getting a shot at the title or even becoming champ. But not when said talent has had practically ZERO build up beyond being a mid-card jobber.

if they repackaged Jinder and built him up properly, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

but they didn't do that. and there are plenty of other talent who deserve to be champ more than him.

with that being said, if the "theme" of the Smackdown brand is that it is the show of opportunity, then Jinder getting a title shot out of nowhere and possibly winning would fit that theme.

I do hope they don't get political, though, beyond the typical America vs Foreigner routine.

If Rusev wasn't injured I think he would be getting this instead of Jinder

The oddsmakers say that Baron Corbin is the likely favorite to win Money in the Bank.

I don't mind Jinder being built up seriously, but I'm afraid it will just be like what happened with Dolph after the split. While there are a bunch of heavy hitter names, like AJ, Shinsuke, Orton, KO .. they also need to build more guys up, kinda like how Baron Corbin suddenly became a credible guy. The problem is, when you crap all over a guy more months, it makes it less and less credible that he could suddenly be a real contender.
