I was pretty much feeling "" until I got to the bolded part. t:

I'm going to laugh by butt off if a bunch of guys go to to see this movie with their girlfriends, thinking it won't be so bad because it'll have some good old fashioned destruction in it, but wind up sitting through an entire boring romantic comedy because the amount of destruction in it was over exaggerated by a ton.

McG: "Now, we never said they would literally demolish New York....and 'mammoth proportions' could mean so many different things......"

Hey, you never know. How many times have you read the two sentence summary of a movie, or watched a trailer that got you so excited, only to get something you considered completely different and totally stupid in the actual movie?

I guess it would be different if they actually destroyed New York over a girl, though.

Bradley Cooper has fallen out of This Means War because the July start date overlapped the Warners comedy The Hangover 2, which is a big payday for Cooper. This Means War, the McG-directed Fox comedy starring Reese Witherspoon, now needs to find both of the best friends who become enemies when the duo realize they are pining for the same woman.

The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper won’t be heading to the spy genre anytime soon. The actor has exited the long-gestating spy comedy project This Means War, in which he was set to star opposite Reese Witherspoon. Twentieth Century Fox confirms Cooper’s departure, saying the actor had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with The Hangover 2.

This Means War, which Terminator Salvation director McG is in negotiations to direct, was set to begin filming in July, while Hangover director Todd Philips isn’t planning on shooting his sequel to the $277 million grosser until fall, which would theoretically give Cooper time to do both roles should he choose. But a source close to Cooper says that the actor had creative concerns regarding the project, which centers on two spying best friends whose relationship falls apart when they both fall for the same woman (Witherspoon). The source says Cooper had some issues with the script, which has been through numerous iterations since Fox originally purchased it back in 1998. The most recent draft is from Role Models scribe Timothy Dowling. Cooper’s reps declined to comment.

It isn’t clear what Fox will do now. The script was a priority project, and there is no word on who the studio will reach out to first as a replacement for Cooper.

Sam Worthington has apparently been offered a starring role in the action/romantic comedy "This Means War" for 20th Century Fox reports Vulture.
Picked up a decade ago, Tim Dowling ("Role Models," "Midnight Run 2") is currently re-writing the script which follows two best friends and veteran spies who fall for the same woman (Reese Witherspoon) who has moved into their spare room. They end up fighting for her affections using their black-ops warfare tactics, a fight which literally demolishes much of New York City along the way.
Chris Pine is already signed on to play one of the leads. Both roles have seen numerous talent attached or offered roles at one point or another including Seth Rogen, Bradley Cooper, James Franco, Martin Lawrence, Robert Downey Jr. and Matt Damon.
If Worthington does sign on, he'll be re-teaming with his "Terminator Salvation" director McG who is slated to helm the film which the studio wants to get moving on quickly. Will Smith and James Lassiter will produce.
Worthington however is also said to considering the action feature "Man on a Ledge" for Summit Entertainment, and if he takes it apparently Colin Farrell is being considered as a potential back-up possibility. Either way I'm happy, love 'em both.

exactly...the man never claimed that charlies angels was the bestest action movie ever and would redefine the genre...that and he's given me "Supernatural" so I'd check this out

But Worthington...I hope not. The guy isnt a funny actor. He has no charisma and can't even hold an accent. Especially when he's up against Pine who is really funny on screen. Worthington may be funny off screen but he doesnt bring it to his performances

I can't remember off the top of my head but there was a number of things he said about the film that never happened or were never filmed.

He claimed James Cameron gave his blessing to TS - which James later denied.
He claimed TS was written by Jonah Nolan - Nolan contributed a few lines of dialogue, T3 writers Ferris & Brancato wrote the script, with other writers doing redrafts, but not Nolan.
He claimed Stan Winston filmed a cameo - not only was Winston dead by the time said-scene (vs Hydrobot) was filmed, it was alleged that Winston was not due to cameo anyway.
He claimed TS would be R - It was PG-13
He promised a mind melting, 'elliptical' ending through promotion - err, where was it?
Altered film stick would give the film a silver sheen and otherworldly look - can't see it.
30-40 minutes of cut material on the DVD - 90 or so seconds inserted

adding 30 seconds of that chick's side boob is not a "director's cut", that's just adding in some side boob, nothing more to it

Worthington has shown ZERO charisma thus far. However, I'm willing to give him a chance in a comedy. He seems funny in interviews so maybe he could bring some of his personality into the role & loosen up as an actor.

But I'm surprised he's become the go-to-guy for everything. Colin would clearly be a much better choice for the role. Surprising the he's second to Sam for this.

Lol you say that about Reynolds, while Worthington signs on for a new movie every other week. And frankly so many actors don't need work

Worthington is just boring to watch. Suits try and shove him down our throats, but I don't hear about anyone besides Fanboy/Net dwellers care or even talk about him. If someone couldnt really catch on after starring in one of the biggest movies ever I doubt he will ever catch on
