I know I may be jumping the gun, but this is the last "space" film before Infinity War.

What do we think the After/Mid Credits will be?

Thanos approaching Hela?
Guardians headed to earth?

Some combination?

Throg drinking a beer with Spider-Ham?

I think it will be Thanos making his way to Earth.

and/or Thor meeting up with the Guardians.

We did see a concept art of Rocket and Thor fighting side by side, wouldn't be surprised if he is the 1st the meet them. I don't think Thor will be on Earth in IW, he may have to travel with them.

Yeah I have to agree with Thanos making his way to Earth as much as I want to see Beta Ray Bill too I'd have to go with something setting up the next Avengers film

I think it will definitely be IW related. I'm not sure whether it will be a Thanos scene or whether Thanos will actually show up at the end of the main movie. I'd prefer him to be in the movie itself (not until the very end though), coming to collect the Tesseract from the ruins of Asgard and sweep Hela off her feet. :cwink: The mid credits could perhaps be the Guardians on their way to Earth to offer their help in the upcoming war against Thanos (if they learn of Thanos' plans at the end of Guardians 2 maybe?) and I'm not sure about the after credits...

It will be Thanos and whatever character Dinklage is playing. Perhaps they are talking to Hela assuming she survives Ragnarok.

While I don't believe Thanos will have an army the scene could be Thanos dispatching his generals to collect the various stones so he can sit some more.

Wouldn't that sort of contradict his "Fine, I'll do it myself" scene?

Tell that to the people who keep insisting he will have an army

I doubt he will. It would be dumb after it was the 3rd act of the past 2 Avengers films. If they use the Black Order, sure, because they are actual identifiable characters instead of nameless hordes, but, otherwise, let Thanos do everything himself.

Well, I can imagine him going after the stones himself but why not have an army to distract or split the opposition forces...

It's not just that, it's going to be really difficult to choreography a battle scene with a couple of dozen heroes all attacking one person.

Hopefully he doesn't have an army, and if he does have the Black Order they need to be established a bit so they aren't just cannon fodder.

But I think I you can have one versus a dozen, it happens all the time in action films, the only thing is you are thinking of it as the heroes attacking Thanos, but if you think of it has Thanos on the offensive then it becomes easier to imagine.

Imagine just him teleporting around, blasting people, punching people, wounding them dare I say killing a few, then the fight becomes more interesting than him just stood there waiting for each attack.

To the best of our knowledge Thanos doesn't have any of the stones anymore. They're with Nova Corp, Collector, Vision, Dr. Strange, Asgard, & player to be named (my guess is Wakanda)

Could he start with the Aether? Maybe get approached by Hela after Ragnarok?

Or if they could lead into Black Panther with a shot of the last stone.

I expect the Aether to be the easiest to get. Collector won't put up a fight and his place was destroyed. He may make a deal, add Avengers to his collection for the stone.

That can be done in GOTG2 along with Thanos getting the one from Nova corp. I can see him having a Vader like scene, just going to the Nova base and wrecking who ever is in his way for the stone. I know Gunn said no Thanos, but I am hoping he is being secretive.

Thor 3 he can get the tesseract from Loki and I believe Hela has the soul stone. He does not need to take it in that movie, she can hold it for him.

IW major event/climax is Vision vs Thanos.

Not sure how he can get the Eye of Agamotto from Strange.

I don't see Black Panther having a stone especially the soul one. I think the movie will focus on BP.

I don't think the soul stone will be in Black Panther, purely because it just feels like too much to have three of the infinity stones hanging out on earth. What are the chances of that in such a vast universe? I think it's more likely that the soul stone will be featured in Ragnarok in some capacity, maybe with either Hela or the Grandmaster. Gunn has already said there are no infinity stones in Guardians 2 and he prides himself on not lying to the fans, so I believe him.

See I think that event is far too big to be wedged in at the end of Ragnarok, certainly too big for a post-cred scene.

I'd rather Ragnarok finish it's own story, Thor and co-send Hela packing, then at most Thanos might appear in the post-cred looking down on Asgard about to invade.

Then open IW with Thanos laying waste to Agard, whooping Thor and taking the Tesseract.

Yeah, I'm torn. On the one hand I don't want Thanos showing up at the end and potentially overshadow the main story of Ragnarok and steal Hela's thunder, but on the other hand I don't want him to be relegated to yet another post credits scene. Damn it. :cwink:

That's if there's any Asgard left to lay waste to. I remember someone (Feige?) saying that Thor is in a really bad place when IW roles around which suggests he may take some really heavy hits in Ragnarok. The death of Odin? Heimdall? The total destruction of Asgard?

Not really. Have you read Infinity Gauntlet? It would actually be much better to have them all rushing him at once, or even him teleporting and smashing them.

Which has precisely nothing to do with the challenges of choreographing a scene *in a movie*.

His vision in AoU pretty much indicated that he's going to end up in a bad place with everyone dead. Theoretically this movie makes Thor's absence in AoU make sense.

If there's 2 scenes I'm guessing one is an epilogue to this film. The last one is Hela/Thanos or some setup for Thanos getting the stones.

The "I'll do it myself" scene is still a little out of place as we haven't seen why/what prompted that, I'd like to think something in this will work to explain that.

Throg, I'm telling you. A frog (or a man transformed into a frog) will pick up the shard from Mjolnir and will be smitten with power.

Most likely no, but still, let me dream!

i think one of the scenes will be a funny one with the grandmaster like the collector one in GOTG Vol 1 and the 2nd will Introduce one Member from the Black Order and Hela as Deah

One setting up Infinity War and the other having to do with Black Panther.

Here's how I see it playing out:

A frog hops out of a small urban lake. He reaches out and places a webbed leg onto a sliver of what was once mjolnir. The music swells. Lightning flashes. Thunder booms from the sky.

And an egret swallows him whole.

One should be the formation of the MCU Illuminti: Thor, Strange, Black Panther, Fury and maybe Tony or Steve.
