Captain America: TWS finished at $259 and Thor: Ragnarok is at $212 after only two weeks. However, with Justice League this week, I don't see Thor finishing much higher than TWS. And there's no way it tops the $312 of Iron Man 2.

I don't know about 'no way'. If it follows the way of Doctor Strange - which also had heavy competition, it'll end up at $318.

So a movie that will be at least $250 by next Monday will struggle to get much past $279 when it will be in theaters for 6 weeks until new year and includes multiple holidays and school being closed a lot?
So from November 20 to January 1 --42 days -- it's going to struggle to make $50?

i reckon that $300M is the absolute floor for TR

With JL being released so close to TR, it really depends if JL gets panned or praised. If it gets praised I think that will directly affect TR box office.

DC movies seem to gather money no matter the reviews (I dont hate them or anything but indifferent mostly except WW which I liked)

I agree. A two-week gap is a little too close to for comfort.

I've seen it twice now, the 7:30 show last night didn't have many folks in it but it's a Monday. First time I saw it last Friday the theater was pretty packed and it seemed to have great reactions from everyone. Glad to see it doing so well, but this coming weekend will be the litmus for it.

GOTG2 had a total of 100M and SM:HC made 116M.

It would be an interesting narrative. It's interesting because this is the first time I can remember that movie like this is so close to its competition. But then again, COCO is coming out with JL. So both movies could take a sizeable chunk out of Thor.

Not brutal at all, totally in line with normal expectations. You can not compare summer weekdays to non-summer.

SM:H dropped -55.3% first Monday to second Monday. T:R drop is -55.1%. The Monday number is fine.

Nothing brutal about that drop at all. It's completely standard. About the same as Doctor Strange's drop on the same day, and a bit better than GotG2.
