Thor Teaser Trailer: How Was It?

@scatterax - Yeah he looks BA in this movie, I'm definatley looking forward to seeing him in action. Those glowing eyes, golden armor, & menacing look made my jaw drop

I think the trailer looks fantastic, which is the what the "majority" of you have said as well. If the general audience's overall reaction to the trailer is nearly as good as this then "Thor" will be a box office hit.

The tone of the film seems perfect so far & it looks like "Thor" will deliver some great action scenes also. I wonder what "powers" will Loki display and I if they are going to portray The Warrior's Three's superhuman attributes (ie. super strength, reflexes, bulletproof etc.)

I certainly hope so. I always hate it when Thor comes off as the only truly impressive Norse god in the comics. Way too many writers relegate the others to just typical medieval warriors with swords and shields, forgetting stuff like Volstagg's nearly Thor-level strength, Balder's ability to generate heat and light, Heimdall's super-senses, Sif's ability to teleport herself and others across the bloody universe, etc.

What was he in the comics if he wasn't black? To me when I watched the trailer all I saw was this epic lookng dude w/ gold armer and freaky eyes. no clue who this guy is but i'm loking forward to his part almost as much as thor and loki just cuz of how BA he looks. lol.

I certainly hope so. I always hate it when Thor comes off as the only truly impressive Norse god in the comics. Way too many writers relegate the others to just typical medieval warriors with swords and shields, forgetting stuff like Volstagg's nearly Thor-level strength, Balder's ability to generate heat and light, Heimdall's super-senses, Sif's ability to teleport herself and others across the bloody universe, etc.

Yep, they seem to forget that the average Asgardian man can lift atleast 30 tons (writers hardly show it). Fandral's as strong as an average Asgardian & also has impressive superhuman agility, Heimdall is far stronger than average plus he has a sword that emits flames, & Hogun is also good bit stronger than a normal Asgardian man.

I hope this movie accurately showcases their superhuman attributes, like super strength, durability (bullet proof), & agility...especially Fandral's agility.

^^^ Woah, that "starfield" face he's using looks cool as hell. Oh in the trailer Heimdall's eyes were glowing so I think we're gonna see his super sense in the movie.

That was a great trailer. There are a few great "blink and you miss it" moments in there as well, I like that very quick glimpse of the cosmic cube at around .56 sec into the trailer and its great to see that Thor clearly is on earth in his Thor outfit. Check out around 2.09 into the trailer, you can make just see his armour as he kisses Jane.
I think Thor is gonna be pretty strong in this movie, I looking forward toloads of lightning,rain and wind. He clearly is using his wind power against the Destroyer in the trailer, again check out around 2.00 into the trailer and you'll see what mean.
10/10 for me.

Oh, is the cosmic cube what those two guards are walking toward? I saw there was a little pedestal, but I could never make out what was on it. I keep watching the trailer on Yahoo rather than the HD version I downloaded at home.

Yeah the starfield does look cool. Would be epic to see the movie heimdal use it. It reminds me of quasar's cape, the inside.

Oh yea. Forgot to mention we got to see the size of the frost giants. I know in the cartoon they are bohemoths. In this they are the right size and look cool. Loved seeing mjolnir hit one in the face. I was wondering what it would look like when mjolnir is throw and returns. Also the slam with a lightning bolt was so cool. I'm super pumped. I noticed when odin strips mjolnir away you see his armor leaving Thor.

Yeah, it's a common theme for characters with cosmic awareness. Captain Marvel (Genis-Vell) had his face and all the black parts of his costume turn to a starfield when he was using his cosmic awareness. It looks cool, but I'm guessing the movie's Heimdall will just have those freaky contacts to signify his super-senses. Which, in fairness, also look pretty cool.

Are you he was wearing his Thor outfit at 2:09? Because I really can't tell if he is.

He is. I just checked the 1080p trailer (again...GAH!) and I saw a little bit of armor on his arm. You can also see one of the discs on his chest.

well I am taking a guess to it being the cube but it fits in with footage from the sizzle reel.

its probably been mentioned but at about 1.52 the warriors 3 are behind thor
i'm guessing they come to forewarn thor about the destroyers arrival....
and that loki has taken over asguard

But I think that tornado looking thing is Destroyer falling to earth. The buildings in town are still standing too.

yeah, the tornado is the coming of the Destroyer. The scene I meant was where the Destroyer is standing with strong winds blowing debris towards him including a car which the Destroyer deflects. That surely must be Thor whipping up whose winds

INDEED! The Warriors Three were a must. It's sad Balder's not in it, unless there's some mention of him as to where he is.
