That was VERY nice to know, I think it should be posted in the "News and Impending SB Spot Thread".

It was a good fight overall though, but Spider-Man 2 & Transformers ROTF had the best fight scenes I've ever seen in comic book movies. I'm hoping "Thor" will meet or even exceed the quality of their fight sequences.

Really. I thought the fight scenes in Transformer were underwhelming to say the least.

You thought the fight scenes in Transformers 2 (a.k.a Revenge of The Fallen) were underwhelming?...wow

wow is right. the battle between Optimus, Megatron, and Starscream at the beginning is one of my favorite scenes. and the beatdown he laid on The Fallen was epic.

They are pretty ugly really. There is a reason to this day the best action scene of the entire series is the five seconds it takes for Optimus to use his sword in the first film. The fight scenes are horrible.

Nah, Transformers 2's "forest battle" and final fight against the Fallen is considered the best fights in the series.

In terms of action scenes, TF2 >>> TF1

Optimus vs Decepticons (forest battle)

I'm glad someone agrees with me.

The Forest scene was by far the best action sequence in the TF movies.

"Ill take you all on!" Gave me chills when he said it...literally chills.

Anyone think Loki may shapeshift and spy on Thor while hes on Earth!? I think that would be PRETTY awesome. Just shapeshift into a bird or common animal. Maybe cheesy...maybe not...

Also face it when Optimus transforms on the bridge to grab a hold of the giant wheel bot.... that was pretty dope.

Too bad the plot in the 2nd movie was nearly impossible to follow.

Like I just don't get it they needed the 'key' to start the machine to consume the sun, but it was used to bring prime back to life....

so, how did the machnine in the pyramid start?

That along with countless other strange things still baffle me, I gave up on the headache of trying to figure things out.

For great looking battles though Gandolf vs the firey Balrock is still one of the best things on cinema.

A while ago someone had a pretty good point, Rocky movies are wars of fight sequences, where there is a clear and clever give and take...

Particularly Rocky 2 and Rocky 4.

ugggh why with the Transformers talk?!

TF2 sucked balls. end of convo.

Back to THOR!

I never saw Transformers 2 because 1) the first movie was stupid and 2) the second one sounded even worse, based on all the reviews and word-of-mouth.

I have to be honest.

I havent been impressed with the action in the Thor trailers yet.

I hope Marvel is keeping the epic stuff for the movie, to become the big surprise of the threatre experience.

wouldnt hurt to check it out Corp, well as long as you lower your expectations to zero, watch it on Blu Ray, dont be afraid to fast forward past some of the more painful parts(any scene with the twin tards. lol),a few adult beverages, and someone to MST3K the movie with and youll be fine. lol

Yeah, that sounds like a lot of work to potentially enjoy a movie. I think I'll pass. :oldrazz:

I saw both first one I was at a Walmart veiwing as a security guard. The first one to ME had most the Action scenes right IN the action at human level and I hated it. You couldn't hardly tell exactly what was going on.

The 2nd one was better, but still I guess you really had to have had to been a huge fan to enjoy the films like us and Thor.

It would be cool to see the Marvel hero Transformers in one movie tho. lol
I'd say they are rent-able to ME just not ones to buy.

There's only been brief glimpses of action, but still you weren't impressed by any of the following?

1) The Bifrost Bridge hammer slam (2nd trailer)
2) The Frost Giant planet hammer slam (1st trailer & tv spot)
3) Thor sending two Frost Giants flying rather easily (2nd trailer)
4) Thor throwing Mjolnir into a Frost Giant's face (Both trailers & tv spot)
5) Thor deflecting The Destroyer's energy beam (2nd trailer)
6) The Destroyer's various rampage scenes (Both trailers & tv spot)
7) Loki's staff energy blast (2nd trailer)

I have seen action like that many times before.

Thor is really really powerfull... but the action shown in the trailers isnt mindblowing.

Its just good action (like many blockbusters have had) but its nothing impressive.

The action shoots arent on the top of the game.

We are in 2011, so with a character as iconic as Thor, you can expect something bigger and better than that.

Well Anagamb, all I can say is wait for the movie. lol
You know I don't believe in Critics, and I try not to critique movies myself, but I do speak my mind to what I like and don't like, and I really like what is IN the Script, and I'm loving what IS'NT in the script too. lol

Well, I for one was highly impressed with what the action I've seen so far.

Wow, the script has more epic levels of action than even the 2nd trailer?

Just that creature not being written into the script so far BT.

Wow, the one thing I definitely don't have a concern about is the action.

The trailers obviously aren't going to give away too much, but I think they've shown just enough ... provided just enough of a glimpse of what can be expected.

I was just asking if the scripts details on action even better than what we've seen so far?

So far I can't wait to see the action described. Tho the scenes that ARE described are very cool. There really isn't High detailed action described tho.
