Not expecting a thread filled with paragraphs of WHY.

    But:

Would like better than it just being locked w/o a word.

In this case I started a PRO white Thread to go alongside the PRO black thread,.... And IT WAS CLOSED W/O COMMENT.

    Why?

I see bad things happening with that thread so I closed it.

Its not a question of being fair. Its a question of safety. If the mods/admin believe that a thread should be closed, leave it to them. As Morg said, bad things could have happened, so bye bye thread.

Can't the mod at least give a reason?

A thread whose description is being a "pro white thread". Thats pretty easy to decipher the reasons for closing. Now, its usually pretty easy to find out why a thread closed.

Thought I did, and been talked about it in the mod forums and we think a 'race' thread is going a bit too far.

Now excuse me, sick. Bathroom break again :(

Yeah, but it's not just those particular threads which are being closed without warning. I've seen others which aren't as offensive, which have been closed without any comments.

Most of the time, whichever mod/admin did close that particular thread will state why they did. Like Morg said, he forgot to say why.

It depends on the thread, if it's a one that has a topic which has started out as a discussion and devolved into a mess, then i would post the reason for the closure, but if it's another "TDK poster in 3 weeks ZOMG!!" thread, then i figure everyone knows why it was closed.
