What's the one thing most sports have in common?? Tickets...we all have to buy them. So I wanted to get a discussion about things like pricing, scalping, and any interesting stories that anyone has experienced while trying to get tickets.

Let's try and keep it clean

I've got Georgia season tickets this year, 2 tickets for 6 games..paid $1,800 on eBay.

First Falcons game I went to in 2005, paid $65 for nosebleed seats. Last year, went to 2 games, lowest level. $45 for the first, $50 for the second.

god I hate the financial climate below the Mason Dixon line.....you can get a baby for $45....

My old man had Dolphins season tickets from as far back as the early 80's, so when I was old enough I took on the "tradition" and bought my own. I don't even want to remember the number I threw down over those couple of years. Same with the Heat : I bought ticket packages straight from the team from '03-'05, which probably amounted to $2000 (a little much over a 3 year span when you're 17-19 years old, but hey.) So in '06, when I joined the eBay party (albeit a little late) I bought both Dolphins and Heat season tickets for $200. If I wasn't able to go I'd sell them off.

I no longer buy tickets directly from teams/Ticketmaster. None of that. They overcharge and then drop their load of extra fees on you. I'm all about eBay and StubHub now when it comes to buying tickets.

Heck yes...all my Georgia/Falcons/Thrashers tix have come by way of eBay

I don't bother with the tickets. I just catch the game on TV.

I've already paid for the snacks and beer, and there's no line at the bathroom. Plus, when the game is over I'm already at home.

I prefer watching games at home for the most part, but I still try to make it to a dozen games or so a year (between NFL, NBA, and MLB)

i was at the fsu/miami game the other night and the scalpers were just brutal. over charging people even in the second quarter lol. last season i bought at least 4 tickets for each game and made profit on selling at least 3 of them. the good thing about living in a college town is these kids with daddy and mommys money will spend anything. ebay is really the best way to get tickets now days. i got 4 texas/ucf tickets the other day. face value they are 70 and i only paid 35 for each. so i will sell the 3 and make my money back.

Been to two Carolina Panthers game in the last two or three years. Last year went to one...ticket was 54 bucks for almost to the top of the nose bleeds. Good view...well, okay view.

Going again this year. Always go with Dad on a bus that we catch an hour away at like 5am.
