Let's put it this way-the best shot for Tigers or any other endangered animal to avoid extinction is for powerful people with money to be convinced that there is a financial benefit in the preservation of the species, being for farming purposes, or whatever. The amount of people who are willing to do anything out of the goodness of their hearts-especially for a wild, predatory animal-is minimal.

Tigers are dying off because they cannot adapt to living in close quarters to a rapidly expanding dominant species, just like many, many, many species before it.
Why don't we quit pretending that Homo sapiens is somehow outside of nature, and that any effect we have on the world is not a neutral thing?
