i find is disturbing that anyone could possibly think that the answer to gun violence is more guns. if that seems to be the best solution, then theres a much great social problem going on than the guns themselves. the idea that we would need to live in a heavily and readily armed society to be safe is extremely sad and warrants us to take a look at whats wrong with society itself.
LOGIC:
While more people are Killed in all ways thru the USE of cars,.... Cars are not "designed" to damage other living creatures.
Guns are,... period.
Serious Apples and Oranges to bring a vehicle that transports more than it kills.
A better choice would be Knives.
V.
also your average person spends significantly more time behind the wheel than they do with a gun in their hand. Simple law of averages that car accidents will outnumber gun accidents
this is why women drivers get cheaper insurance.
But a gun's SOLE PURPOSE is to kill
Axes are tolerated as they are important tools
you're clutching at straws in order to defend your illogical obsession with "security"
can you chop wood with your gun?
So I realized that I've never had a photo taken of me holding guns before, so I grabbed a couple and took this baby here:

Yeah! Aren't I a f***in' badass? Aren't you scared and respectful of me now? I'm going to right all the injustices that have been heaped upon me!
...or maybe I'm just a dork holding guns...![]()
Defending your home has nothing to do with manliness. If I got a gun, it would never be with intent to kill. I also will not stop going to the shooting range, it's fun.Not to mention well equipped to fight off the countless intruders that attack your home and establish your manliness![]()

I don't know where you're getting most from. I know people who just have a bat and they radiate machismo.I didn't equate the two with each other. Just that most of the people who claim to need their guns to protect their homes just radiate machismo.
I see no need for the gun to ever leave the shooting range if you like going there.

It's your gun, why would you leave it at the shooting range? I put enough trust in the bank to leave my money there and I don't really trust them either. I'm not about to trust some old fat guy at a shooting range.
I'll get a desert eagle and get someone to help me lift it everytime I want to use it.
Is it true that the chinese guy whats his name was bullied?
God oh god how I wish they'd respond to the nation's drug problem with a solution like that. "There are too many drugs out there. Let's make sure everyone gets some drugs! "i find is disturbing that anyone could possibly think that the answer to gun violence is more guns.

Defense, we just went over this. If you don't go to a shooting range or take gun safety classes, etc, you should have no business with a gun. What I'm saying is, you enjoy shooting it at the range right? That's cool, what does it do for you outside of the range.
Guns were meant to injure things, plain and simple. I can't see myself deriving enjoyment from using it, even at a range where I'm shooting pieces of paper. I might as well go play with a missile or a tank.
He's ****ing Korean *******.

Yes, it's so terrible that some people use them to aquire food. You don't get enjoyment from using it, who cares? This isn't about you, it's about the rights of everyone. No one is saying you have to go shoot a gun. You like playing video games, do you not? This is closer to a video game than playing with a missile or a tank. You're reaching and overexaggerating.
I'll go tell my uncle that he's a horrible person because he has rifles...and had never injured a person. He burned himself once while making popcorn on the stove, let's ban oil and popcorn.
Is that really you?

I can only argue my own stance so you'll have to excuse my personalization of my argument. You were actually the first to bring up your own enjoyment of the shooting range.![]()
I don't need to "reach" to make my claim of "guns are made for injuring things/people and have no place in civilian hands; whether you're the robber or the poor person defending their home".
That last part about oil and popcorn was completely absurd, just like all the "let's ban cars" rebuttals. I'm not here to judge you or your uncle or any gun owners just because they own a stupid piece of metal that fires bullets. People do harmful things to each other all the time.
Are you joking? That's not even a good question. When do you imagine that you'll ever need your gun for defense?
I realize that and who are you going to convince? no one. I'm not trying to convince you to love guns or to get a gun. However, you're trying to convince me of how terrible they are and that there's something wrong with me for liking them. You say you're not and you're not a bad person. I can absolutely understand your reasoning for not liking them but I don't hate guns, I hate people.
Sorry Fuzzy, wasn't my intent to convince anybody of anything or say that there's something wrong with ya. Guns are something that you can make a pretty good judgment about when you first hear about what they are and what they do, no convincing required.
I'm going to add that until I shot a gun, I was deathly afraid of them and hated them. I don't "love" them now but I would've been more afraid if I'd never shot one, I respect them now and what the can do.
I didn't need to shoot a gun to respect them, I'm pretty sure having them shot around me did that. But I'm glad you came to that realization eventually.
Ofcourse it was absurd. The part about tanks and missiles was also absurd, guess we're even.
Guess so
Changes I'd like to see:
1) Outlaw assault weapons, military grade weapons, or any that can be easily converted to automatic fire (there are actually a few semi-auto pistols that fall into the last category).
2) Eliminate all gun show sales except for antiques that don't fall under those listed in #1.
3) More thorough background checks, and make testimonials from 2 to 3 people (who are non-relatives and w/o any criminal or mental health record) mandatory.
4) Full US citizenship
