Timecop Planned for Big Screen Reboot

LOL, I didn't even know it was on DVD. I'll have to pick that up!

Yeah, I'm sure it hasn't aged well but I would totally watch the sh** out of that whole show again.

Yeah, I found them on Amazon this year. The quality is pretty bad, they looked like they just transferred from VHS just to shut people up who were asking for it on DVD...but I'm having a blast watching them again. And what's funny is that now 1993 is totally dated.

I love Darien and Selma, they're probably my favorite sci-fi cop buddy team.

I did a search for Time Cop but not Timecop and came up with nothing, so I guess the two threads should be merged? I didn't even know they were working on this before either. Although I'm not really surprised. Everything is getting the reboot/remake treatment, even movies that aren't out yet.

Since Teelie's thread is gone along with the comment about every remake (I read it on my phone, it doesn't allow posting)
I admit hating the "Gritty and Grounded" bit, it is done to death, I want fantasy to embrace fantasy and get over trying to making it realistic

And I admit, the only reason I saw the first movie is because I think Jean-Claude Van Damme movies are pretty fun to watch, the sequel didn't keep me interested (I saw it only because of Jason Scott Lee). Wonder if this will do what the sequel failed to do, and keep my attention

Is this going to be like the Toxic Avenger or Spawn remakes? Something that will not see the light of day despite years of planning and announcing?

I liked the first film,never saw the TV spin off or sequel but a reboot could be great
