That's too bad, really. And I'm not being sarcastic. He should keep on producing them.

You guys are missing the demograph here. I have a 5-year-old kid and she has quite a collection of those 'crappy sequels'. She loves every single one of them and would actually have repeated viewings. Sad to say, guys, the 'crappy sequels' are not intended for you.

As is this Tinkerbell movie. Hard for you teens-and-beyond to imagine, my daughter, a big fan of Peter Pan, is an even bigger fan of Tinkerbell. I am sure as heck that she'll drag me to watch this, regardless of the criticisms levelled on it by the adult critics.

Another example: no sane adult would watch any of the Barbie movies from beginning to end. My 5-year-old kid watched them all. And watched them again.

So, before you shoot down this movie and label it as crap, just ask yourself if this movie was intended for you in the first place.

I must not be a sane adult... I've seen all the Barbie to date from beginning to end. :D

I dunno. Maybe it's my fascination with pretty, sparkly stuff (should see all the fairy stuff I've got around my room), but my guilty pleasure movies include stuff like the Barbie movies. This Tinkerbell movie sounds like something I'd actually go to see.

*sigh*

Yeah, I'm definitely a kid at heart, maybe too much sometimes, LOL.

:Love To All:

Okay, I'll admit I've always liked Tinkerbell and I'm looking forward to this movie. :o

I just hope they don't change her look, the way she was in the Peter Pan movie was so adorable. :)

its a smart move tinkerbell has moved beyond peter pan as a character for disney and is basiclly one of there icons.she one quite a lot fo logos, she has a major part in the theme parks. i wonder why they took so long

1-Are any of the voice actors from "Return to Neverland" gonna come back?

2-If this is a Disney spin-off/sequel of one of their existing movies, why is it CGI?

I mean, "Bambi 2" and "Brother Bear 2" weren't CGI!

3-Will Tinkerbell get her own cartoon series?

4-Is this movie gonna be included as a world in "KIngdom Hearts 3"

5-Finally, which characters from the first two Peter Pan movies are gonna come back?

That's not true...He vowed no crappy direct to DVD sequels of Pixar/Disney films and immediately shut down production of Toy STory 3. I know a few people in the Sequel department, and all they did was move the team from Toy Story 3 into new offices, and into production on other Direct to DVD sequels.

You're right, only Circle 7 was dismantled and shuffled around, the sequel department is still alive under Shanon Morrill.

Well on the whole no more sequels thing, they are still coming out with Cinderalla 3 and The Little Mermaid 3 so..we are still getting sequels..

On September 20th, 2005, Disney launched a book series titled "Disney Fairies" with the subtitle "Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg"

The Story:[if you want to see]
The story begins in Fairy Haven, located in the heart of Never Land. Prilla, who is a brand new fairy, born of a baby's laugh, arrives in Never Land and discovers that she has no talent for any of the fairy avocations. Tinker Bell takes Prilla to see Mother Dove, but before the wise bird can advise Prilla, Never Land is shaken by a terrible hurricane. Mother Dove is thrown off her nest, and the precious egg, which holds all the secrets of Neverland, is shattered. Immediately, all those who live in Never Land begin to age. The island's only hope is for some brave fairies to take the egg pieces to Kyto the dragon and ask him to restore it with his fiery breath

This is the first book in a planed series of twelve books. (five are in stores now with seven more to be released at a later time) All the books revolve around Tink and her seven fairy friends in a hidden part of Neverland called Pixie Hollow. Not even Peter knows of this secret place for only fairies can visit the fairy dust tree there in.

There was never any plans on making it a TV show much less a movie, however, multiple films are currently in development to further extend the storytelling and bring the world of Disney Fairies to life. A computer-animated feature film, Tinker Bell, is reportedly in development by Walt Disney Pictures, and is scheduled to be released on VHS and DVD only, by Walt Disney Home Video Fall 2007. A film for the big screen was voted down by the Walt Disney execs. The home videos will bring the enchanting world of Disney Fairies to life in CG-animation, and audiences will see the Pixie Hollow for the very first time. While a voice was given to Tinker Bell in Hook, this will be the first time that Disney is providing the fairy that has been mute for 50+ years with a voice. The Disney Fairy friends are expected to be voiced by some of Hollywood's most talented actors, including Brittany Murphy who will be the voice of Tinker Bell.
