hey guys just thought i would let u know that when the dvd comes out it will most likely be a blockbuster exclusive. i work at blockbuster and BB and the Weinstein company have made a deal that for the next 4 yrs all Weinstein movies both theatrical released and straight to dvd will be for rental and sale at blockbuster only(examples so far, school for scoundrels, Arthur and the invisibles, the protector,) and when i saw tmnt in theaters they flashed the Weinstein logo so ya.... and if it is a bb exclusive movie and another company has it for sale/rent they can get suied big time.

That's a bunch of crap dude. I seen School for Scoundrels at best buy, almost bought it. There's no way WB would limit their DVD sales like that. I mean think about it, on tuesdays, people go to best buy, circut city, walmart, etc. to by DVD's not blockbuster.

ya it is i know it sounds like total BS but its the truth.....and since i hate my company i dont care if other stores sell the products that there not supposed to. ive seen another blockbuster only movie being sold at a walmart...tech if any blockbuster employee sees the movies at a store we gotta tell out store manager what store its at so they can report it but ehh i dont care i just wrk there cuz i need a job and they hired me. the company sucks bigtime.

As far as I know, it's only the rental rights that blockbuster has.
The DVD can be sold anywhere.
Just look at amazon.
It would be impossible to limit sales just to blockbuster.
That would be limiting their sales so much.

TMNT will be sold everywhere. You can preorder on Amazon now I think.

First of all...the Weinstein DVDs are sold everywhere. They're only supposed to be rental exclusives at Blockbuster.

Secondly, that's BS. My video store has School for Scoundrels available to rent.

It is total bs because it's not true...the whole "Blockbuster Exclusive" crap is just mostly for the direct-to-DVD movies, the other Weinstein movies that are shown in theatres first, are sold in other stores too. I know more than you and I don't work there.

And you're just *****ing about the place you "work" more than saying anything else.

also it will be available on movies in DEMAND PPV on tuesday as well

I work at BB, and the only way the other rental stores are getting the exclusive movies is by buying them from other retailers.

That said, TMNT isn't an exclusive, so it should be directly available to other rental places.

I rented TMNT from Hollywood Video, and I've seen it advertised for sale at places like Circuit City.

i think we can close this thread now mods

Only available at Blockbuster... Haha!! That is the most ******ed thing I've ever heard... by the way, does anybody know if the special edition copy is available anywhere other than Target. I saw it advertised in Target's flyer but I haven't been able to find it anywhere (I find it hard to believe that anywhere would sell out of SE TMNT... but, who knows...). I want the SE but there's no Target near my house.
