TMOS Review & Speculation Thread

The only thing I'm scared for is Rotten Tomatoes. During the first 20 or 30 reviews, any rotten review really takes it's toll on the rating... Especially if it's within the first 10!
 
Am not worried about this movie. Even if its script ,plot or whatever is ****, am 100% sure the action scenes and visuals wont let me down.

Just curious... What are your domestic and oversea predictions if you have a 125M opening weekend prediction? Especially with your 900M Worldwide prediction.:huh:

do you trust everything the internet tells you?

yes, it's possible that this person is telling the truth, but i find that highly unlikely because of the other positive information we are getting from others, not to mention that one guy who played a minor role in TDK said he literally weeped when he saw the film, so i doubt this is accurate...

i see 3 possibilities:
1.) she's pessimistic, and just wants to ruin other people's day by shattering their hopes of a good Superman movie
2.) she hates the Superman franchise and purposely gives it a bad rating, and lies about other big wigs saying the same thing
3.) she didn't like the movie, thinks her opinion is better than everyone else's, and makes a generalized statement based on inconclusive responses from those around her.

either way, it's silly, ridiculous, and a bit foolish to let ALL of our hope in a movie crumble after one woman said she didnt like the movie. we're tougher than that, smarter than that...

we are not given to wild, unsupported statements.

now on that note, we dont need to evacuate the planet immediately, but we do need to relax, chill, let reviewers says what they have to say, then watch it for ourselves, and be happy and overjoyed that Superman is TRULY back :up:
 
Just LOL at the "I've heard it's abysmal", there is no way in hell MOS is going to be abysmal, direct message from a movie blogger by the way? LOL.

What guy and which 4-5 guys said lower expectations. There have been just 1 negative tweet or opinions, who are the other 4?
 
From all the speculation it seems to be on course to be very good. I can see someone like my parents (3rd world) saying it's very good, while I myself (having grown up on Superman) would love it. My Dad think TDK is ok, he doesn't explode over it.

Basically 1 person said that he heard it was abysmal from 4/5 people.

Why are all 3 of your possibilities negative towards her? Here's a 4th possibility, maybe she just genuinely did not like the movie? Why is that not an option? Why does there have to be a motive? Are people not allowed to not like the movie?

Its because she said that is the reason for the embargo. She didn't say "I didn't like it". She said "they won't let us tweet because its terrible". Basically like its the most popular opinion.

Yeah. Critics tend to think likemindedly. I've watched a lot of mixed reviewed movies that I enjoyed, and I feel like if many didn't care about what other critics think of them, they'd give the movies slightly HIGHER scores. Probably not GREAT ones, but certainly a little more than what is given.

apparently you didn't read the third option:
"she didn't like the movie"

you also completely missed the point of the post...
i have no problem with someone not liking the movie. if someone hates it, fine, let them hate it... im sure there are going to be things in the movie that I hate... my point is to stop letting people's expectation of a movie go flying out the window simply because of one or two unsupported claims based of second-hand or third-hand experiences... this person does not ultimately decide if this movie is good or bad, the general public will make that decision.
 
Critics has got to be one of the most useless jobs ever, being paid to watch movies and judge them? No one should have to care about reviews, it's nice to have validation that what you like is considered good, but seriously, who cares? Like they're an authority on the subject or anything, YOU choose what you like or not.

Im getting to see it early!!, im sooo pumped, June 6!!!, can´t believe it yet, im scared that they show us Catwoman instead! hahah.

whats to be confused about? some reviews will be good, some will be bad. there will be differing opinions. form yer own opinion after you've seen the movie. dont let reviews dictate some need for a pre-opinion.
