Went to my first concert on Saturday. Saw Halestorm, 3 Doors Down and Daughtry. They all put on a great show.

94 degrees I think...100 degrees with the humidity factored in. I'm all hot and bothered now and eager for a shower when I get home. I've got most of the weed eating finished now. I have maybe another 4 hours of it until I'm completely finished. Sad thing is that the stuff that I hit first a few weeks ago is starting to come in now. I wish we had more powerful weedkiller I also still need to trim all the bushes (front and side of one of the buildings, so about 12 or 15 bushes of all sizes) clean out the bed beneath all that, weed eat it all, and lay preen before we get our mulch in next month. That's all a goal for next week, though. Then the week after that I have to start doing serious interior work at Transportation where the school buses park. i.e. scrub walls, scrub floor, lay new wax, change most of the ceiling tiles, washing out the light fixtures, etc.

Oh, Summer work. I can't wait for Winter.

Man, I just got back from Glasgow Comic Con. I love that con. It's so laid back and all the guests always have a pint. The panels are always fun and stupidly hilarious. Highlight was hearing Mike Ploog talk about his experience with Marvel.

Turns out Andy Diggle remembers me. I steped up to his table and he was like "I remember you. You ask for strange things..." Once again, he was late and hung over. I love Andy, he just has fun like a fan.

Nah, UK Comic Cons aren't really about the whole TV and movie stuff. The UK has a big exploding scene of indie comics and they just go around trying to sell their stuff.

There are ones with TV/movie people attending, but I've only been to a few and they were more piled high with glossy photos and anime crap. I prefer comics and toys.

i remember in statistics while learning the bell curve, the average women's height is 5'2. granted this was 10 years ago

Height doesn't matter unless you're standing next to other people. It's all about proportion.

My legs are short but they look long because I have big calves and skinny ankles. I would say I have skinny knees as well, but my thigh muscles are taking them over.

And...I don't get the range that you listed there.

I've been to a a few here & it's a combination of celebrities, comics, & toys.

It's fun to chat to celebrities, but when you pay £25 for the con ticket, it's taking the piss a bit when you have to pay £10 - £20 for them to sign something. And honestly I'd rather chat with writers/artists than actors. Now, if there was an effects person there, I'd wanna talk to them.

I'd suggest picking up The Losers, it's in two big books now and fairly easy to find cheap. Plus it has art by Jock, who is just amazing. I could never get into Dredd myself. But yeh, he wrote Hellblazer, which I'm really interested in reading since that's the comic that got him into comics, so it's going to be an interesting read.
