I was afraid this was going to happen. That's too bad. I hope there's a chance it finds a home elsewhere, otherwise at the very least it closed some storylines/arcs and that's something.

They pretty much covered the book so I'm not that surprised, just disappointed because the cast was so good.

I was wondering about that because I haven't read it. The showrunners in their joint statement however say that there's more story to tell and seem to leave a small window open for a future despite the cancellation.

Adelstein covered many stories beyond this so yes, there is more material out there to use, but if Max isn't going to bother, who will?

I'm not getting my hopes up, but if they said so it means they at least have some hope themselves. I don't see it having a home elsewhere but I'd like to be wrong so I guess we'll see.

I'm fine with it, you could see this was going to be the outcome, it was always meant to be 2 seasons, and HBO MAX barely advertised the show.

They didn't even air the episodes on the regular HBO channels like they do their regular shows.

It feels like a series that would do well or get more attention if it were on Hulu/FX with a season drop rather than a weekly one.
