Tom Holland reuniting with the Russo Brothers for "Cherry"

The recognition for his performance will live or die by the quality of the film. Look at the pre-buzz for The Devil All the Time then when the film came out, quickly forgotten. We’ll see if the Russos have the dramatic chops outside of MCU films.

Maybe it's Holland's people? I thought he was excellent in The Devil All The Time but Netflix doesn't appear to be pushing that at all.

Sadly, I do think The Devil All The Time has been pretty much forgotten by now which is shame because I loved it and thought both Holland and Battinson gave award worthy performances in it, but critics just weren't all that crazy about the movie itself. I really hope Cherry ends up being that movie than gets Holland some serious attention, but its super early right now and we haven't even gotten a trailer for it yet, so I think its best to just wait and see it for ourselves before getting too excited because it could easily end up being a complete letdown IMO.

Cherry will be released 26th Feb, thats very late. The movie is dead for award season, because you cant campaign a movie without missing Globes and BAFTAS.
