I'd love to see Charlie Rowe in the MCU as much as anyone, but I don't think Flash Thompson fits him.

Unless you mean Coulson's ragtag team on Agents of SHIELD, and i want NOTHING to do with that (really the only embarrassment with the MCU. Its Marvel's equivalent to Arrow)

Their nothing embarrassing about agents of shield.In fact it is one of the best comicbook shows out now.It's a really good show with really good action.
In fact shield is more fun then arrow and the action better.
It's rt score score for season 3 is higher then both seasons of gotham, agent carter season 1 and 2,jessica jones and daredevil season 1 and 2.

Anyway all these are shows are good,some very good, some great,some really great,some are excellent and on average better then comicbook movies.I watch all of them,but on average i enjoy the marvel stuff more then the dc stuff average,but i really like them all.
Most of these shows are in 90's so the shows that are in the 90's are considered really great to excellent.95% and up is excellent.

To be fair Sam Alexander isn't even friends with Spider-Man in comicbook or lives in NYC. You could say that are taking inspiration from the USM cartoon but I'm not even sure if Nova is even on the show anymore.

Well jessica jones in the comic is around peter's age,but in the mcu peter is a teenager and jessica jones is much older.
Batman and superman are around the same age in the comics but in the current dc movie universe,batman is much older.
Lois lane is much older then superman too,but in the comics superman is older then lois.

Actually when you think about Peter in this universe could actually be the leader and member of Young Avengers even if they don't exist yet.

He could definitely pose a threat to Peter academically and set up the character for future installments. He doesn't have to become the vampire right away in the first film, I wouldn't want him to. But this is the only route I could think of them going with the actor playing High school nemesis

Well, Raimi's Flash was just the *****e bully and nothing more. Webb's Flash was a *****e bully that had a heart.

So I'd rather 'em have Flash as the bully to Peter that ultimately becomes his best friend.

Only Heroic Hollywood has made that claim, Variety and Deadline have only said 'Michael was cast or in negotiations', no other info about being a classmate or a new character, and they're more reliable.

But essentially none of the actors cast so far have a character name, deadline was the only source to claim that Zendaya's character was named Michele, TheWrap is the only source that claimed Tony's character is Manuel (but it was basically confirmed to be a cover name), Laura was just stated to be significant, and Michael was stated to be in talks to join. Keaton has been cast, and even though everybody says he's vulture it has not been confirmed by marvel or any other reputable sources, if I remember correctly deadline only speculated that Keaton could be playing Vulture, but never confirmed.

So other than Tom and RDJ, everybody cast so far is a mystery.

I think the only thing I'm sure of is that Laura is Liz.

A part of me is thinking that Tony has to either be Flash or Harry, more so Flash b/c so far no actor has been cast that could be Flash, and I do think Flash is character that Marvel wouldn't leave out like Sally Avril or something, another part of me thinks he's a character I'm not thinking of.

Tony is great in Dope. Finally watched it.

I definitely have to watch this, and the Grand Budapest Hotel to see a bit of his acting range.

I would say there aren't any outlets more accurate than deadline, variety, and thr, but how accurate is comic book.com for people to take their report about Michael being a new character at face value without looking at the big 3.

In any case, I thought the new casting information would help in figuring out who Tony and Zendaya are playing, but it doesn't.

Yep. Them pointlessly making up new characters is one of the few things that could make me lose hype for this film.
