Me and my sister often talk about how they're too many heroes or should I say, "super powered beings" on the show. At the beginning I thought this would be a series about a unique group of people who are learning to use and accept their powers. And along the way they'd draw the line between hero and villain. But there isn't a unique group of people because almost every cast member has a power. Not only that but most of these characters seem to be related somehow. I even made up a joke saying that a bum on the street will soon learn he has powers and will be the long lost uncle of one of the characters on the show. What do you guys think?

They're an incredibly small group when taken out of the six billion people on the planet. And the writers seem like they have this big cosmic destiny in mind for the storyline, so the connections between characters makes sense.

I've always kind of gotten the feeling that these people aren't just running into each other randomly - there's an overarching purpose to these rare super-powered people coming together. Whether that's due to fate or a plan, remains to be seen...
