I can't believe The 4400 didn't make the list. What an awesome show! And the original Trek as number 1? Give me a break, that show SUCKED. Just because it spawned off much better later series' doesn't mean it should be number 1. I'd have EASILY given Galactica (the new one) the number 1 spot.

I hated Buffy too....That is why I never watched Firefly till after it was cancelled. Then saw the DVD's and it trully was an incredible show. The cast was perfect.

It was better than Buffy. Buffy's seasons 4,5,6 (well not 6 so much) pretty much sucked ass. Angel was good ALL the time...the last season was AMAZING.

The Wild Wild West should be higher than 49. Even with its secret agent/western slant, it still holds up well as SciFi.

X-Files maybe should be at 2 or 3.

I don't see The Night Stalker (original) - that should be up there as well.

Hard to argue with Trek at number 1.

Darren McGavin was so good in that role. Natural, effortless and funny too. That show has to be in the top 50 somewhere. It ran for what, 4 or 5 seasons? I think it fits the genre, does it not?

he fought the occult and in one memorable episode, a spanish moss monster. so yeah

That was a good show. Remember the episode he had to rescue Julius Erving?
