That's right, Horror!

List the titles and a brief description if you'd please.

Doesn't have to be Marvel exclusive either, I'm looking for something that currently coming out as well.

I'm probably going to check out The Walking Dead, because I'm a big zombie fan( and the review scores don't hurt either), and also am a fan of the Living Dead and Evil Dead films.

On a last note: I'm more into the darker realistic stories, dark humor is alright, but not too silly.

Thanks in advance.

Walking dead :up::up::up::up::up: I have the first 4 TPB's. Very cool series, I heard 30 days of night is good too.

Wildstorm is coming out with some comics based on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th.

I suggest you check out 30 days of night and its sequels.

A films getting made of that two.

Also for sheer abject terror read the other or sins past....

Also a nightmare on elm street book

Right now Walking Dead. I'm really hoping that Sci-Fi or another station could turn it into a late night series. Zombie World used to be pretty good. I would love to see Marvel come around with some of their 70's horror comics. Even Dr. Strange could get kind of creepy I guess.

Another vote for Walking Dead as well as 30 Days of Night (although the sequels suck, IMO)

Walking Dead is fantastic.

Steve Niles I find only average. His plots and characters are paper thin, and his one ''original'' idea (30 DON) has been milked to death.

If you're a fan of Buffy/Angel, IDW has produced some fantastic comics (and not so fantastic). The best of the bunch are the peter david penned spike and spotlight issues. Spike vs Dracula is a little humourous, but in a pretty dark way.

Marvel zombies was pretty damn good too.

Dark Horse have done some pretty cool little horror titles, like curse of dracula (heavily inspired by tomb, it reteams gene colan and marv wolfman) and Damned Nation, as well as a Van Helsing comic that was much darker than the movie. They also do a good range of Aliens comics (first few trades anyway) and Hellboy is worth a read.

Ones to look out for, imo, are the marvel series based on zombies (but not based on marvel heroes) and potentially blade.

Blade has never impressed

do try finding old issues of obscure Marvel series Terror Inc. and Darkhold Redeemers, though

Tomb of Dracula was pretty good.

Blade could have a really good series, and I have some hope for this one seeing as, unlike the others, it's not being rushed out to coincide with a movie cash in.

Yeah, same here. I have faith that eventually somebody will do this character justice again.

Some of the Blade stuff done in the '90's was decent...

The Midnight Massacre Crossover where he became Switchblade was pretty sweet, although I wish it had better art.

That's the kind of story I almost wish someone could, like, re-do with the better story telling style and art of today

Walking Dead has JUST gotten scary. And it's the humans they're meeting, not the zombies, that are scaring me

I need to get ahold of some of these. I'd really like to help Marvel revive their Horror comics.

Walking Dead is a great read. I burned through 30 issues in about 3 hours. I couldn't stop reading it. I also like reading the Friday the 13th and Texad Chainsaw Massacre comics that Avatar is putting out. Also the occasional zombie books written by John Russo.

I'm a fan of Nightmare on Elm street but the comics leave something to be desired, unlike the previous comics which rocked :D The Jason/X comics aren't bad but thier not scary although the art is alright.

If you don't mind a comedic book lightly spoofing horror aspects, I recommend "Boneyard" by Richard Moore. I got the Volume one TPB the other day and it's the best read I've had in a long time.

I'm definitely going to check out The Walking Dead, also I might check out the Texas Chainsaw comic when it is released.
