The trailer is finally unveiled. Definitely feels like Eddie is back in form, and Stiller is just...Stiller.

It almost feels like Eddie Murphy coming out of the jail cell was symbolic. As to say Stiller is bailing out his comedy career.

For a second, I thought it was Charlie Murphy.

Eh, Eddie will go back to doing mediocre films soon.

-Brett Ratner doing comedy
-Eddie Murphy
-Ben Stiller
-comedy

sorry but this screams R rating. those people doing comedy with this director scream R rating. i hope for the love of god that this was a PG13 version and that the movie is R.
i understand why doing a PG13 comedy feels more safe. but in the last 3 years we saw a lot of R rated movies making a LOT money. just look at this year.Bridesmaids

This doesnt look horrible, but not very good either. I didnt laugh once during the trailer

I did like Murphy cracking on Stiller about being "seizure boy" back in grade school. I actually thought that was pretty funny.

I was interested when i saw them filming a few scenes in Manhattan, but after watching this trailer...not so much.

I thought the trailer was abysmal, there was no sign of any sort of cool heist taking place and the jokes were just lame, anyway, here's the poster.

Screw it, I laughed at the "seizure boy" part. And a couple others. But this probably won't be good.

Looks terrible. Eddie's too old to be playing the "Reggie Hammond" role still. If anything he should've been playing Alda's part. Stiller makes crappy movies as a rule (surprised there's no animal for him to have shenanigans with...), and Brett Ratner? Pshh...

I laughed a lot during the trailer. Looks pretty damn funny.

Alan Alda, you deserve better than this. :csad:

The title track by Nas and Rick Ross. It's pretty SFW.

Waiting for Thanksgiving Day to see it with family, plus when a lot of it takes place according to the HBO behind the scenes. Seems like a fun ride.

Saw a advanced screening of this last wednesday.

Story: The story was pretty good but Brett Ratner essentially took the whole thing with Bernie Madoff and made a comedy heist about it
and Stealing there money back that was embezzeled.
. It also plays like a poor mans ocean's eleven and Stiller is danny ocean and eddie Murphy is brad pitt and casey Affleck is matt damon. Still shocked Casey decided to do this with the very clear similarites.

Actors: I wouldnt say Eddie Murphy is back just yet but its the best he's done since before 2000. Ben stiller plays it straight mostly and his brooklyn accent kept coming in and out throughout the movie and was odd. Matthew Broderick is funny once again with his one liners but alittle more heavy since we last saw him take a day off. Casey affleck and the rest of the cast is just kinda there to give one liners throughout and move the story when needed.

The heist:

Rather forgettable Heist if you ask me. Its funny how they do it but once its over you just kinda forget what it was and they really stretch the laws of pyshics a bit, when you see it you will agree. Definitely no where near heist in others movies of the genre.

Closing:

Enjoyable buddy/heist/comedy movie with a decent cast and story but overall rather forgettable a week after watching it. Worth the matinee but not a full ticket on a saturday night (unless your on a date).

It looks entertaining....but not enough to pull me into the theater.

I would've been more excited for this movie if it was rated R and not directed by Ratner... :o

Saw this tonight..

MUCH funnier than I thought it would be!

Trailers shown along with the movie:
- The Grey
- J. Edgar
- Breaking Dawn P.1
- American Reunion
- Safe House

Yeah, I really haven't seen Eddie in a performance like this in quite a while.
