For me OP made the TV spot and imo will make this movie. Im really liking his look more and more, specialy the way they filmed it, at those angles and with carefull lighting. I love that shot in the TV spot where he drives by and then parked looking all glorious on top of that "hill". He's my favorite design in this film.

Notice the Voice at the end of "Hidden"?

:trans:

I did! Had to listen to it twice. Was going to make mention of it but then saw your post. That is the same voice that did the voiceovers in the G1 cartoon! That is so frickin' cool that they did that.

As I see more of this, I am so looking forward to the day it comes out! Have a feeling I will be seeing this more than once.

Oh, and in 'Hidden', that is Optimus taking over the look of a semi as it passes. Kinda cool ....

I really hope the film sees a long running time. A good 2+ hours at least.

But Bay is a madman in the editing room. Hope he doesn't edit a 3 hour film into an hour and a half. :cmad:

Well, after Bad Boys 1, every film Bay has done has been 2 to 2 1/2, to even 3 hours. I highly doubt Bay will do a 90 minute Transformers movie. With the reported 12 (or was it 14?) action set pieces, I expect Transformers to be well within the 2 1/2 hour range.

Man, I'm gonna be exhausted by the time the movie's over.:trans:

this movie has a lot of cool shots that SR didnt have. with singer you get story with bay you get everything else.

this movie looks what i expected. a lot o cool shots. this is 100% a movie for the theater.

p.s. i am happy that they didnt used the soound from the cartoon. for christ sake its a cartoon. this is a movie.

whoa... did anyone see the other tv spot on ign? after 'hidden', called 'destiny'?

it's got a full stascream transformation, and it looks mother grabbin' sweeeeet!

I love the FX, and the movie looks like it is going to be great, but I wonder if the humans will get along with the Autobots. I'm getting a very "Maximum Overdrive" feel from this, and I think the Autobots may have a hard time convincing the humans they mean them no harm...Of course, that just adds more conflict to the story, with is good and all, and gives the 18 year olds in the story a chance to show all of humanity that THEY knew the Autobots were good guys after all.

I dont spend too much time on these transformers boards... but I just HAD to say! THIS LOOKS ****ING INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just found a movie that I'm looking just as forwards to see as I do Spider-Man 3!!!! This looks to bad-ass for words!!! The visuals are down right breathtaking!!!

Very well put!... I agree all the way (and I love SR!)... TransFormers seems to bring it all the way!!!!!!!!!!!:woot: :cwink:

It's official: those are NOT the Transformers I used to love in the 80's, but I think this movie will be hella fun and stand on its own robotic legs.

What about these trailers makes you think otherwise? Since those are changes you wouldn't notice from quick clips. He NEVER said the scense would be different, he said the dialog would be better and the characters would be more fleshed out.

Everything i've seen in every trailer/clip for this movie is enough (for now) to take Bays words with a grain of salt. I've heard these kind of promises of alledged script revisions from other film makers who wanted to quiet some of the fan outcries for a while, i.e X3.

I mean come on, every clip we've seen thus far can be accurately verified, and placed, in part of the leaked script, that SOPPOSEDLY has got through many changes, according to Bay.

I truly hope i'm wrong, but i'm not naive, and i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I thought it sounded a bit like Dwight Schrute.

Oh, and lemme be the first to say:

Why aren't you at your post?

Do you copy?

:wow: ..but it's TRADEMARK Transformers!

The more i think about it, the more i think it will be in the final cut of the movie. The fans that got the screening said it was there, but it wasn't there in the Blackout transformation scene in these new tv spots so maybe it was/will be added towards the end of post production.

Or that it was just added for the viewings....Which would really be a *****ty move.

IF the sound is in the movie then i suspect that it'll only be on Blackouts transformation and not on any of the others

You mean added to shut the fans up..?

Yeah, that would really be a dirty move.

I don't remember any of the fans that were at the screening saying they heard the sound during the 'Autobots at Spikes house scene'.
Did they just fail to mention it because they had already mentioned that it was there for the Blackout scene? Or didn't they mention it because it wasn't there..?

True fans wouldn't have notice it's absense during that scene..no?

Let me try this again...OBVIOUSLY the scenes can be placed and verified by the script. He NEVER said that whole scenes would be changed. He said they would remain largely untouched, and that the DIALOG had been altered. Of course they are going to look like scenes and sets from the script in quick cuts and short clips, but since we haven't seen the dialog and interactions between the Transformers...the MAIN thing he has said was changed, then it makes no sense to compare elements that he said would remain the same and say "See, they didn't change anything!"

I really have a hard time believing that they haven't beefed up Megatron a bit, especially since they went to great lengths to hire a voice actor that could bring a very strong presence to the screen. I have said since reading the script that with minor revisions it could be a great film.

You could try it 100 times, i got your point the first time you said it. What you don't seem to be getting is the fact that i don't have to agree with it.

Yes, i've said it myself numerous times on these boards; i don't think they'd hire Weaving unless Megatron will get a good amount of dialogue. Waste of time; waste of money; waste of talent. But i find it very hard to believe that the dialogue for Megatron is sssssooo vastly different from the script considering he doesn't appear until the last 1/4 of the film, and it's admist the massive chase scene ending with downtown finale.

All i'm saying is for the fans to be skeptical. We've heard promises before. To take everything that comes out of Bay's mouth, especially in the childish manner on which he ranted in his 'alleged' last statement, would be being very naive.

The only reason I want this movie to succeed is because I'm hoping it will spur the studios to really go after the rights for all the other Japanese robot franchises. It's about time we get a Robotech/Macross adaptation.
