Sequels Transformers 6 and future sequels thread

Rolling Stone gave this thing zero stars. Is it really THAT bad? I mean...I LOVE Transformers. I grew up in the 80's, so the property is near and dear to my heart. I certainly haven't loved what Bay has done, but I've been able to turn my brain off and enjoy it for what it was. This one however just seems to be pure and utter ass. Even people I know that actually liked the others have had nothing positive to say about it.

I watched it yesterday and yes, it really is THAT bad. From someone who enjoyed 1-3 and even many bits from 4, this was hot garbage. My friend who is a TF film fan hated it too.

Good CGI and spectacle scenes here and there, shadowed by RIDICULOUSLY long dialogues, boring scenes where nothing interesting happens and unnesessary exposition.

The story is one big incomprehensibe mess. The editing is atrocious (SS' editing is masterpiece compared to this). This is not a coherently structured film, but one big pile of scenes put together. It jumps from scene to scene just like that, without giving you time to breath in what just happened. It is a pain to watch and go through to the good bits (which are very little and pop here and there). I would challenge anyone to try re-tell me and structure the film from their memory on the the next day after seeing it and I bet they won't be able to.

Everyone is wasted - Optimus has 15 mins of screen time total, Autobots are wasted, Grimlock doesn't do anything, Decepticons are also wasted, including Megatron. All cool scenes and I mean literally every cool scene is shown almost ENTIRELY in the trailers (the actual scenes are only 10-15 seconds longer in the film itself). The last act is all over the place. Things just... happen.

Duhamel and Turturo are completely wasted and Tucci's role breaks continuity by having the same actor play a different role.

I am giving this 3/10 just for the good CGI and spectacle that Bay does well, but I feel like this is too generous and I'm done with this franchise until someone else steps in.

P.S And don't get me wrong. I knew exactly what I was going to see and the good things to look for, and this film still managed to disappoint me and my friend and make us regret that we went seeing it.

Rolling Stome gave it 0 out of 5!! That's being generous. This is the worst TF movie ever made and one of the worst movies in recent times. I think the editors were half cut when they spliced this incoherent mess together. The ONLY good thing we're the effects but that is to be expected in today's movies. This makes BVS look like it was written by Shakespeare LOL

Question, what ever happens to the character of Izabella? I noticed on how a lot of the early trailers really highlighted on her character as though she would be the next big thing when it comes to a new cast of characters, yet I haven't heard or seen anything about her character after she goes to Cade's junkyard.

She's barely in the movie after that. Cade comes in a takes it over She only really comes back near the end. Hyping her up in the marketing was obviously a cynical ploy to try and get more women and girls to come and see the movie

Still, the actress did quite well for what little she was given to work with imo.

1. Does Sqweeks ever transform into anything?

2. Does he really only say 'Chihuaua'? If so is this explained?

3. Does Izabella ever do anything significant?

4. Is there a reference or flashback to her past?

Number one, who the **** was in charge of editing this movie? Amateurs apparently.

Number two, why were there so many Jar Jar like characters this time around, and that includes Hopkins.

I will admit this is the most times I've heard the word **** in a pg13 flick. I admit the action sequences were cool and it was good seeing Duhamel again.

You know it's one of those things where Michael has built this entire universe right, and he will decide what he wants to do and how he wants to do it. Right now he says he doesn't want to do another film and he says that after every film because they are so difficult to make and he pretty much has to do it single-handedly, even with all the help that he has because all of the movie is in his mind.

So he'll decide that and I would be hard pressed to see him walk away and put it in somebody else's control and care. I mean, that's just the Michael that I know, but you never know, sometimes people decide to move on, so we'll see what happens.
