A really hot idiot that has probably never read a TF comic or seen a TF cartoon in her idiotic life.:o

I don't believe she is an idiot [Megan Fox] that is . . . first, and foremost she is a girl, and the way the looks of the robots' make her feel could be scary, and or otherwordly . . . really alien You know?

Back to the horselegs . . . if our favorite characters indeed sport them in this upcoming film . . . Bay may "alienate" some of the TF fans. I also wouldn't mind if a couple of the bots would have them, just please don't let all the robots have them . . . at least not the two leaders.

As long as Optimus and Megatron are horse leg free, and strongly resemble their multiple incarnations over the years, I'm good. Still...if Starscream looks like that weird thing in that concept art...I'm going to find Micheal Bay and pop him in the nose.

It´s an early animation, nothing to go bananas about... Anyway, not being big on Transformers, I´m not particularly aware - neither do I particularly care - about this horseleg controversy... It´s important because?

Yea, that horrid thing, If it's arm's weren't so long [too long], and if his face looked more like his old self . . . no, I just don't like his raptor/insect/horse-like legs . . . make me wanna vomit.

Ultimatefan, I'm not sure if it is a controversy there, but us hardcore fans . . . even the causual fans [still speaking solely for myself] simply don't find them very appealing . . . they just don't look cool to us.

Maybe, just maybe Michael Bay & co. think it's cool, and inventive, perhaps because he hasn't done any "monsters" in any of his films yet [I could be wrong though], but to me it is't so fresh, or "different", it just doesn't fit . . . my $0.02,-

As much as how great this behind the scenes footage was, I think the voiceover who was explaining to the general public who are watching, What Transformers are. He forgot to mention that they come from Cybertron and crashed landed on earth over a million years ago. Heh.

That, and did You notice Tigerclaw how M. Bay basically called TF's a thing? I don't have that against him though . . . just thought that was a tad funny. :)

Because it's not the Transformers that the fans know and love. The fans are soppose to be the primary target this movie should be marketed towards (i hope). Making the Transformer look like what *Deadend* described as a 'raptor looking creature' is like giving, Batman a yellow costume instead of his traditional black one-in other words he becomes unrecognizable from what he was originally based off of.....

Umm, Batman's raditional costume is blue and grey. The movies made it black. And everyone was fine with it, until Schumaker put nipples on it. They are only trying to make it believable. That's all.

O.K.You missed my point. Do you think people would have been happy with yellow?

I think you are over thinking this. No one would have made Batman's costume yellow. As I said, Bey is just trying t make this realistic. Let's face it, if the Transformers in this movie looked just like the cartoon, no one would believe it. I mean, in the cartoon, some of them grew in size, part would appear and disappear like magic, and you just can't do that in a movie that is supposed to b based even remotely in reality.

Non-sarky question. How are Goat feet more realistic?

Why should the Decepticons look evil rather than simply having an oposing viewpoint? A lack of dialogue?

Okay, that's three. :o

just because she is out of your league and doesn't spend her time discussing and researching pop culture figures doesn't make her an idiot.

Good point. One thing we can all agree on is that she is Hot.

Black and grey. Blue was originally for highlighting.

Oh i can agree!!

Video didnt show too much as i suspected. I dont think that was prime, i got a feeling it was iron hide, as his chest didnt look like a grill of a truck.

But i agree with an earlier poster, certain changes are unnecessary the deceptecons and autobots shouldnt look different from each other. The deceptecons arent evil creatures they are just transformers that have different views from the autobots. They need to have a similar look, fair enough in the cartoon u could tell they were evil as the animators gave them evil eyes but thats about it.

The animated storyboard looked really cool tho.

bay told access hollywood how he drew the story boards with a purple crayon and his inspiration for prime was the telly tubbies.

''derrrrrrrr i like things go boom boom derrrr''

I thought the video was very cool. I'll be interested to see how much Bay actaully lets out of the bag before the movie comes out.

i think the stuff he will actually let out of the ''bag'' before the movies release will be a white powder like substance.

LOL.

Did Hasbro give Bay a happy b-day card with optimus prime on it?.... maybe to remind him "THIS IS PRIME, DON'T F*** IT UP!!!... HAPPY BIRTHDAY:) "

Well...the fact that they will look more alien-like only makes sense. Until you can show me an actual picture of a humanoid alien then the chances of alien lifeforms looking humanoid are very slim. Hell, even lifeforms on our own planet don't look humanoid.

Not the point.

If this was about actual realism, it would be absurd to think that they'd limit themselves to bipedal forms with two arms. And eyes only in front. And hands with five fingers. And acustic communication.

The designs were a huge, huge part of what made Transformers successful. The original Starscream is a great example of this - He had a very characteristic appearance. One could even call it charismatic. Changing them into the swamp creature from planet x means to rip out one of the most important colums of the very concept of the Transformers.

So this image confirms that the black pickup truck that we saw in the other thread, with the Autobot emblem on the tailgate, IS in the movie. I think that animated thing we are seeing in the earlier pages of this thread are that truck transforming.

i liked how the robot moved with the hindlegs in the video
