Transformers Transformers movie concept art!

Oh My GOD, that is the best design I have ever seen. DAMN.

I kinda like the concept for Megs, eventhough they should make it more 'complicated looking' like the other designs. Hopefully they will incorporate aspects of THIS design for the sequel:

I wonder what he Transforms into. He looks somewhat small, maybe it's just me. Don't you find it odd that they didn't show this design at the Hasbro press tour? They showed all crappy weird ones except this one!

Shinobi, if your reading this, i got a few more videos for you! :D

There were a bunch more but i didn't get to see/save them. Here's a size reference for Arcee:

As for Ratchet, i love the color he has in the movie, so unique. Had he been a red and white hummer like the first concepts i wouldn't have mind. Although i wonder what his bot mode looks like with those colors...

Not bad, that hummer would've worked too.

They really should release a Art Of book! I can't say it enough, here's hoping Ben reads my email and passes the word around! Considering he posted the pictures on his site and we ate them up and took all his bandwidth away, lol. If that's any indication on the interest towards this film...

these are great, i also think they should release an 'art of' book....i love those for just about any movie

An Art Of book is a must, and please include Bonecrusher renders. Poor guy, not only does Prime take away his screen time, but he gets no released renders to boot.

All this great material is made available for us by the amazingly talented Ben Procter! All images are from his site.

Updated the videos and the link to the ZIP folder of all the videos! ^
What a mess...

EDIT: Shinobi, on the videos i hosted, in the descriptions i put a link to your youtube profile for the other 3 videos.

Guess what guys...i got a reply from the GREAT Ben Procter!
For those of you that missed my earlier post, i wrote him an email inquiring about more possible artwork being released online and/or an "Art Of" book for the movie. Here's what i wrote him:

Hello mr. Procter!
I am very star struck and honored to communicate with you as you are an amazingly gifted artist. I recently (today) went to your Transformers portfolio and was amazed by these beautiful images! I loved the film and so far i have seen it 4 times. I plan on going at least two more times. That's the first time i have seen a movie so often at the theater! I fell in love with these movie designs, they are simple amazing pieces of design and modern art perfected by you. :yay:
I was wondering, since there is sadly no "Art Of" book for this Transformers movie, you seem to be the only person, online at least, to have some of the concepts and artwork. My question is, would you be able to post more on your website? Designs such as Ratchet (Hummer), Ironhide, Jazz and some of the other decepticons. I really wish they would release a book with all the behind the scenes/production art from the movie. They also showed some of these designs you have on your site and other at the Hasbro tour for the TF media. If you want to see a perfect example of such a book you can look up "Spider-Man: Behind The Mask" which is a very rich, content filled and great behind the scenes book about the first Spider-Man movie! Many other films, adaptations/comic book movies and normal films have such books as well. I think if you guys were to release one, it should be in the same type. I bought TF The Movie Guide, but that's not even close to being an art of book sadly. The only way us the fans of TF (specialy the movie) have to see the artwork and the talent that went into making these amazing 30 feet tall robots come to life is through the internet for now. I know the request should probably be sent to IDW or Paramount, but i figured this would be more direct. I hope you don't mind me contacting you about this and appologize for taking some of your time. It would be amazing if we could see some more amazing Autobots artwork, but that is if it's possible. The fanbase would certainly be very appreciative and interested in seeing more as much as i do. I took the liberty to write this message on behalf of the fanbase, most of us are over on the forums of Superherohype.com, tfw2005.com, seibertron.com and many many other places.
I really want to thank you again for being such a talented and gifted artist! I'm glad you were the one to bring these characters into the world of the silver screen.
Again, thank you for your time! I wish you much continued success and i hope to hear from you!

Sincerly,

Bobby T.

EDIT: I did the silly mistake of asking him after i posted this if it was ok to quote him. He'd prefer not to, so i'll respect his wishes. I can resume what was said in the email:

-he said it was a breeze to have someone for once praise the designs and not claim he was part of ruining people's childhood's.

-Tony Kieme deserves a big credit for designing some of the robots as well since the artists himself doesn't have a site, Ben thinks a book would be great for all the artists involved, getting proper credit/exposure.

-he mentions that we should get the word out to "the powers that be" about an Art Of book

Let's get the ball rolling i say! :) *cue epic decepticon movie theme*

Wow great you got an answer back! He is very talented indeed! I've seen the movie 3 times now. I also love the way the bots look! Can't wait for this book, it should be released! And the pics are amazingggg!

We need to get a petition going. Im not good at these things so perhaps someone much wiser than myself could make one? At least a better writer...lol :D

Thanks MM...you're teh man.

I would have liked the white hummer better. I don't really like the lime green/yellow color.

That's the new color modern ambulances use these days. Here in Montreal (canada) they are Ratchet's color. I think in the UK the cop cars are this color too.

Oh really...i take that back then. I thought that was a choice.

I had a picture i took of an ambulance from here that i posted but i can't find it. I'll post some google picture instead:

wow tah'ts pretty interesting. Ours is still white, at least in our part of the states.

If you think about it, the color is easier to spot when you need to move out of it's way quickly. Imagine your on a highway with all those transport trucks, small like big, most are white, with logos and such on them, and ambulance would get lost in it, even with it's sirens. (sp?)

good job and writing to mr. procter! sux they don't have any plans...i'm not sure how effective a petition would be though. if one is made i'll most definitely sign it though.

Awesome to hear you got a response from him MM.

Now how do we get the word out? lol

:ninja:

Create a petition and post it on every TF forum.

BTW, i got 2 replies if you want i'll pm it to you.
