Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I barely ever touch my Wii. If they had more games for the real gamers (more Mario, Zelda & Samus please!) I'd play it.

just got the game, so far i love it, but like the 1st game, there are ****** missions, but worry not, salvation is at hand!!!, multiplayer is the ****!!!! it is that awesome, Deathmatch is great, we can see battles like Starscreams vs Megs or Optimus vs Ironhide and stuff like that, but playing as a team is way better.

its not the best movie tie-in or Transformers game but it is good 8/10

how did you get it today? It's coming out tommorow were I live.

for some reason its coming out earlier in some countries, look for videos on youtube, theres people playing it in PSP and 360/PS3

(SL)This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.

Celebs: They're fanbrats just like us.

IGN's review is up. Appears to be just another subpar movie tie in.

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/996/996930p1.html

3.0 Presentation
What presentation? The upgrades and unlockables are OK, but there's nary a cutscene to watch and the story has no weight because of it.

6.5 Graphics
The Transformers themselves look decent enough, but the environments are pretty bland.

6.0 Sound
The musical score is good for what it is, but the voiceover work can be either uninspired or, worse, rather annoying.

6.5 Gameplay
The controls are oddly implemented, the AI can be dumb and the missions are repetitive, but killing robots can be fun and the online is decent enough.

7.0 Lasting Appeal
The single-player portion is short, but the online might interest you for a while.

6.0 Overall

Just read the IGN review and I was a bit surprised. With all of the videos and pictures I've seen on the game, it sounded like it was going to be a REAL step up from the last one. Everything I've read says it's sub par at best, and there are a ridiculous amount of bugs in the game. I'm interested to see how they've incorporated the "global scale" from the move into the game, but overall I'm afraid it might be a waste of money for me.

Can someone who has it share their thoughts both good and bad? Is it really worth the $60?

Guess this might be on that rental status. Unless one of my friends goes ahead and buys it, and I'll just borrow it for a day.

I just picked it up. I like it, but the fact that you have to hold down the right trigger to stay in alt-mode takes some getting used to. A major complaint among the reviews is the lack of cutscenes. I can agree with that, but to me, the biggest flaw of the game is that Sideswipe isn't a playable character. I don't even think he shows up in the game at all. :cmad: Making Ratchet a playable character was a step up from the last game, but there really should be more playable Autobot characters. Screw Breakaway, he can't do anything that Starscream couldn't do before. And where are Arcee and the twins, for that matter? At least make them playable in multiplayer.

Just got this game, but haven't played it yet since I'm at work. I got this game mainly for the multiplayer games, and I'm pretty excited to play it online. From the reviews I read (except for IGN), this game seems to be above average and better than the first, so I think I'll enjoy it quite a bit.

They mentioned that there will be DLC for this game, so I think Sideswipe will probably be purchasable in the future.

Got this game, played the tutorial plus first campaign, and couldn't wait for multiplayer so I joined players online, and promptly got my ass handed to me. Still, it was alot of fun, but I definitely need to work on my shooting in bot mode.

I really agree with TeamXBox's review. Another pretty damn good movie game. What the hell is happening? First Wolverine, now this? The single player is somewhat poor but the multiplayer is some of the greatest fun I had in years.

A massive upgrade over the previous movie-based game in the series. So much so that it’s unfair to really even compare them. Despite some feelings of repetitiveness and a lack of polish in a lot of places, I feel like it’s my duty to commend Luxoflux for what it’s done: make a pretty good game that treats the license with the respect it deserves.

Agreed 100%. For those who haven't tried it, fighting each other with Transformers in ROTF is everything you want it to be and more. I only wish the maps were bigger, and more of them to play with, as well as new playable characters we can get from DLC. If Activision would continue their support for this game, I see a very bright future ahead.

They better add some decent DLC. I honestly can't believe they didn't put Sideswipe in it. Who the heck makes the decision for playable characters?

Do you guys think I should get this game? I'm in the mood to transform & roll out, I also want to get into it while there's still people online.

I think it's worth it, but if you want to be sure, rent it from Gamefly first and try it out.
