ive already beaten the Decepticon side, and got halfway through the autobot side, i just defeated Shockwave, to be honest i believe its only worth a rent

I think the autobot side is harder then the Decepticon side.

I finally beat Transformers: Autobots on the DS last night. Frank Welker did a great job voicing Megatron in the game.

In the Final Battle. Your young Autobot faces against Megatron. After you managed to get the Allspark from him and hit him with it. Your Autobot character sacrifices himself to save Optimus Prime and then you play as Optimus Prime against Megatron. There was no indication of Jazz dying in the game. So instead of Jazz dying, It was the character that you created.

I jus bought the game, its not that bad. The camera is a bit off, but the cutscenes are badass. I really dont have high expectations for movie based games, this one is pretty good.

From what I've played so far (the first level) it seems pretty cool, i transformed into the camaro and rammed the shyt out of this robot and then threw a car at him, he slammed into a building lol.

OMG they look boxy and unrealistic, there is no way that could fit in the real world. Megatron has a face almost like a person for christ's sake. He doesnt even look menacing. Optimus Prime looks like something from an 80's cartoon. Now the movie design on the other hand is pure genius LOL. Nice Vids

So all in all, should I buy or rent this game?

My vote would go to rent. I beat the Autobot campaign today and it was a bit more than 3 hours and I would say 45 minutes of that time was spent replaying some frustrating missions. The game got pretty repetitive in terms of the fight. You had to throw a car at the enemy since almost everyone had shields that made your guns useless.

There isn't too much to do outside the actual story mode. You can collect the stuff to get the G1 skins, but thats the only thing of interest. All the other bonus material is comic pics and movie screen shots. There are also a couple of mini games like racing and throw the enemy out of the ring stuff, but nothing as fun as the stuff from Hulk Ultimate Destruction.

I don't know if the Decepticon side is any better though, I am saving that for my brother to play.

The game sucks!
I regret paying 90$ (collector's edition + EB games warranty + tax), i really do. Then again, i only played for 1 hours since the game is pretty spoilerish. I'm really dissapointed that they excluded Ratchet out of this damn game. Graphics really didn't impress me at all and the gameplay get's really boring and repetitive. Oh and the driving is pretty dodgy.

Ok guys I need some help, Im stuck Inside the Hoover Dam and I am at the part where you have to disable the shield to gain access to the Allspark and Im on the last challenge to disable the last of the shield and it says that Im suppossed to throw the generators? I have no idea what to look for what to aim for or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to climb up to where they are, grab them and throw them away.

AHHHH many thanks to you, but is there a certain part of the structure that you are suppossed to climb? Because Ive actually tried that but I guess that I didnt try hard enough. lol

You gota climb all the way up. On the structure that has the generator, When you climb up and reach a gap where you stand on, In front if another part of the structure you gota climb up to go higher and then you will reach the very top.
