[BLACKOUT]A few web sites are actually reporting that Optimus kills Bumblebee, but if you look closely in the trailer, Bumblebee actually gets his hand up to block Optimus stabbing him before it cuts to black.[/BLACKOUT]

I actually noticed it on my first viewing, so why some web-sites are reporting that I don't know.

I have seen people complaining in the past about Prime yelling things like "I'll kill you" to deceptions before he actually does.

I don't have an issue with it myself.
 
I mean it's a little weird. Kinda like Superman saying stuff like "no one stays good in this world" "the Bat is dead. Bury it" "consider it mercy" "I'll take you in without breaking you!" ...
 
We don't know if this movie will be good or bad, but there's one thing this is for certain... this movie will be visually spectacular.
 
Looks cool.
Transformers is one of my favourite movies of all time, and I like all the films...
 
Regardless of your thoughts on Baysplosions, that entire shot of Bumbleebee running at Optimus and promptly getting the one handed WWE slam to the ground is pretty ****ing iconic.

I think I was like a lot of people...ready to walk away from the franchise but this trailer is just wow...I can't quit you, Optimus Prime

Some speculative thoughts of mine after seeing the trailer

-[BLACKOUT]As I have pointed out previously I don't think Optimus kills Bumblebee[/BLACKOUT], but I do think he [BLACKOUT]messes him up enough that BB gets remade into Goldbug[/BLACKOUT].

I think Optimus turns himself in at the end and this is the moment in trailer in the desert where he puts his sword down on the ground while kneeling.

I think the movie will end on a cliffhanger of Unicron arriving on Earth, I don't think he will be the main bad guy until the next movie.

Again this is all speculation on my part.

No, we know that it's going to be bad. Let's be honest here.

As for Unicron possibly appearing... that's cool I guess but I mean, they added f***ing King Arthur. That's one of those dumb tropes writers delve into when they've run out of good ideas, like making Dracula the villain in Blade Trinity. It's like, "Well, sh**. I don't know where else we can go with this story. But hey! Everyone knows [INSERT PUBLIC DOMAIN CHARACTER HERE]! Let's use him!"

The original Transformers cartoon also had a King Arthur storyline (no joke), so it's not really that surprising.

The way I see it, this will most likely be more of the same. I don't know why people come here complaining about Bayformers because you already know what you're gonna get, so why waste time on talking about something you hate and likely won't even see?

The only thing that might be different is the writing, but other than that, I expect it to be more of the same despite this trailer.

It's a great shot in that it markets the movie brilliantly, now people will want to watch the movie to see why Optimus turns bad and if he does indeed kill Bumblebee.

I'll be honest, the inclusion of King Arthur doesn't thrill me. But at the same time I don't think it will be a huge part of the movie, maybe a prologue?

Bay can make good movies if he has a decent script though. The first Transformers movie is still a good movie to this day.
 
Yeah, the G1 cartoon had stuff like the King Arthur plot all the time. It got really weird.

The movie's probably gonna suck, but damn it, these trailers always get me excited. The Bayhem looks great :up:.

It's mostly due to the way he kills his oponents, and sometimes says murderous stuff like "give me your face". There are even some parody videos about that:

I was hoping that the movie would be all about the little girl Isabela and a little of Mark Wahlberg. I see that Marky has supermodel british scientist sidekick. Plus Lennox is back.

so we have:
-Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager
-Stanley Tucci as Joshua Joyce
-Isabela Moner as Izabella, a street-smart tomboy
-Josh Duhamel as William Lennox,
-Tyrese Gibson as Robert Epps,
-John Turturro as Seymour Simmons, a
-Santiago Cabrera as a Mercenary
-Liam Garrigan as King Arthur
-Laura Haddock as Vivian Wembley.
-Anthony Hopkins as Sir Edmund Burton
plus
-Optimus Prime
-BB
-Megatron
-big transformers planet.

No writter could use all those characters and make it work. noone. I expect a mess of epic proportions.

Let me guess. from the footage in the trailer.......Lennox/soldiers, Yeager, british supermodel jump from a plane or space ship on to Unicron. and the planet will try to kill them by throwing bombs onto himself. Yeager will have King Arthur's sword and use it to destroy the planet.
 
Surprised the Collider.com video crew didn't like the trailer. They usually give positive marks to most big movie trailers. But hey different strokes. People really seem to be digging the trailer

The trailer has grown on me. I don't expect anything different from Bay but what gives me some optimism is that there are different writers and actual good ones. There looks to be some semblance of a story here. 3 out of 4 of these films have had great concepts but only one has delivered all the way through on the story. I really hope this one can.

It's really Bay who keeps me coming back to this thing, even if I've been ****ed over by him. His direction is so damn seductive.
