The Last Knight Transformers:The Last Knight Official Thread

I don't see them killing off Optimus again so soon, but this is Michael Bay we're talking about.

I would hope they don't kill Optimus off. Hot Rod is plenty awesome in the more modern comics without ever turning into Rodimus.

Any pics of Hot Rods vehicle mode from set yet?

Looks to be a lamborghini centenario.

looks like Ultron

They really couldn't just leave his look from the last film alone, which is probably the closest to Generation 1 of all of them outside Optimus.

I like Megatrons new look personally, but I hope they are going to explain why he is Megatron again after clearly calling himself Galvatron last time.

Even if they keep the 2 seperate like the comics I wouldn't mind as long as they explain it.

So Bay is just bringing back old transformers with the only exception of Hot Rod and Sqeeks being new??

Megatron looks OK. He's nothing amazing. It's reminiscent of his old designs, but different enough. I like the spikes on his shoulders. What is his vehicle mode in this one? I also wonder if they're even going to bother with an explanation regarding the Galvatron persona.

They need to find new ways to sell toys! That was clear when they changed Optimus's look in the last movie. But what confuses me is why Megatron's armored look in the inset picture looks kind of like Starscream.

I don't think explaining things and continuity is one of Bay's strongest suits.

Not too fund of this new design but hopefully they do some cool things with him. This was my favorite autobot growing up so really hoping he doesn't go the way of Ironhide and Jazz right away. Still hoping they will give Arcee, Chromia or Elita-1 another chance.

No way. I think Bay doesnt care of previous robots.
Twins, Jolt from ROTF and Sidewipe, Dino, Topspin, Roadbuster from DOTM we dont know if they are deads or not.

We notice they want to reduce robots'numbers since ROTF and DOTM, thats good. too many useless robots in T2 and T3.

They all went back to the same home planet as Poochie. :mnm:

Bay's Transformers films has defaced the brand so much by now, I don't think anyone's watching it and expecting a faithful representation of G1 (or any previous series).

i think thats why bay is using hot rod to set up rodimus prime i think the title the last knight is setting up the death of optimus at the end of the film

Transformers. Episode 38: A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court

Nice to see them use more source material. :D

I really, really hope not, killing Optimus pretty much killed the cartoon as far as I remember. It may do the same for he movies if they are not careful.

To be fair, the plot of TF4 heavily implied that all the Autobots on Earth (except for those survivors we saw) had been killed by the government and Lockdown.

or are in hiding...

So they're going the actual King Arthur route. I'm not sure how to feel about that. Is the story gonna be told in two different time periods?

this guy who plays King Arthur is also in Once Upon a Time......playing King Arthur.

Baaaaay :woot:

Stanley Tucci, who was in Deauville to receive a career tribute on Saturday, will reprise his role as Joshua Joyce in Michael Bay’s “Transformers: The Last Knight.” While in Deauville, Tucci confirmed his character, Joyce, the anti-hero of “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” will be back in the next installment of the franchise which has just started shooting with Mark Wahlberg, Laura Haddock and Anthony Hopkins.

Good... he was a highlight of the last movie.

IIRC, there's meant to be a sequence being filmed in London somewhere in the next few days... no clue where or what's going on but I've seen reports people saw Hound's vehicle on the back of a lorry last week, so he may be there
