The Last Knight Transformers:The Last Knight Official Thread

I would prefer if they kept it under wraps.

Keep the mystery going 'til the movie's release.

Really don't get why people are still bashing Bay for these films anymore. Guys, the writers this time are the dudes who wrote Iron Man (the first one). Ehren Kruger's not involved.

Either way this is getting ridiculous. Treating these films like **** BECAUSE of "Hur Durrr Mickl Bway Sux" is getting old. At least he's TRYING to make these movies good and fun. Imagine if it were someone like Uwe Boll or Kurt Wimmer directing it. THEN they'd be guaranteed to suck. Blaming Bay for his usual schtick like this is like blaming Call of Duty for being Call of Duty: not EVERYONE's gonna agree with what you're saying and you're NOT gonna aways be right about it sucking!

That's why I avoid talking about Transformer movies online. I've loved the franchise since I was a kid (33 now, and Transformers are the only figures I still collect). Was I disappointed at first? Sure, I remember writing an angry paragraph on how Megatron's mouth looked like a sexual torture device when the designs were first leaked, lol. Then I went to watch it, and honestly liked it.

I go into each film well aware of what I'm going to see. Sure, some are worse than others, but I've yet to walk out of a Transformers movie with fingers itching to go rant about it online. Meanwhile every movie, every last one, people have said will be the last, and that the franchise is on a hopeless downward slope. That sales will be awful, and the next installment will crash and burn.

Meanwhile in real life I walk out of the theatre surrounded by friends and strangers all talking about how they liked the movie on the way out to their car. Then the movie does good in sales. I just got tired of the rinse and repeat of hearing online about how it's the worst franchise of all time, and doomed to fail since the first one. Versus real life where the movies do good, and, atleast around me, get good word of mouth. They're not great movies by any stretch, but they're far from bad, IMO. It's the fault of the haters if they go in expecting Shakespeare from Michael Bay.

The first movie is not a bad movie by any means. There was some things I disagreed with on a fanboy level, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Part of it was just seeing Optimus brought to life, but I enjoyed the story for the most part as well. However, I have not liked a single movie since. A lot of people want to blame Bay, but it just comes down to the writers. He didn't write four plot holes in a movie, he directed it to the best f his abilities. I do blame him for some of the designs we have gotten though. I really hope these new writers are able to give us a passable plot. From what I've read there has been multiple writing sessions including different writer, and not just the two main writers who did Iron Man 1. I have hope for this movie which is more than I have had since Revenge of the Fallen.

Age of Extinction and Revenge of the Fallen are tied for worst easily.

I agree about the first movie, I feel it's under rated and a genuinely good movie. I have enjoyed the movies since personally, but wouldn't categorise any of them as good. The first one I would definitely class as good though, I watched it again last year and found I still loved it.

The first one had Spielberg's stamp all over it.

I don't agree at all. Dark of the Moon is right up there with Revenge of the Fallen for worst.

Anyway, here's a toy leak for a Decepticon called Berserker.

Isn't that one of those Predator-like decepticons from Dark Of The Moon?

Super Bowl teaser going online early it looks like.

9:00 AM EST today, apparently.

We're about 4 hours left 'til it's released online. :woot:

All new footage isn't it?

Some of it, yeah.

Seems like one of the Creators is female.

Bay is really stepping up in the cinematography department. Looks miles better than Age Of Extinction's, same as the still unfinished CGI.

I'm out of the loop, so I'm sorry if this has been talked about and discussed, but has it been revealed why Prime is evil now?

Sort of. It's presumed the Creators retrieve his unconscious body (as seen in the first trailer) and manipulate him into doing their deeds with dark Energon, hence the purple eyes.

Although, with this recent TV spot, it seems Optimus' motivations might be more different than we realize.
