The Last Knight Transformers:The Last Knight Official Thread

If Bee does get it, that's probably why they finally decided to put Hot Rod in, as a swerve. Again, just tossing out random ideas, but maybe the autobots are mulling over what Prime has become. Then instead of Hot Rod getting the Matrix, Optimus kills him, setting Bee off. It would definitely be a twist nodding to the animated movie.

As for Hot Rod, I'm hoping they don't make him a Bee wannabe personality wise.

And can we at least get Will Freidle to voice Bumblebee if he has to go solo? A whole film of him just being mute and deadpan snarking via radio clips is not gonna cut it.

Agreed. I know people are divided on Shia in the first 3 films, but his character is the reason Bee's character worked. A silent bot that spoke through his radio only goes so far. Shia was speaking for both Bee, and himself. They played off eachother. Which, IMO, didn't work as well with the new humans in AoE. He hit the cool friend note, but can't carry the lead role like that.

I was just going to post the same thing. Hot Rod has been put in to throw people off I think just like Shockwave was in DOTM to throw people off the Sentinel Prime twist.

I don't realy get how some can put Dark of the Moon on the same level as 2 and 4.
Two reasons:

1. Pacing. It just doesn't work well, when we dont have almost any action in first half of the movie and we get non-stop action in the second. That's the reason I prefer ROTF (even if I usually revisited it in shortened fanedit form because of those annoying twins).

2. Deep Wang. No need for explanations. It's the worst thing in this franchise.

The pacing of the 4th film was much worse. And DotM's first half did have some action sequences, like the Chernobyl sequence and the one set on the road. Not to mention that it was one of the films where the Decepticons felt the most threatening.

Worst? In TF 2 we had Transformers balls, Turturro's butt shot, longer American Piesque scenes and Ramón Rodriguez's character's constant "joke scenes".

Not to mention that Dark of the Moon arguably was the best looking film of the bunch so far.

Also, this sequence still is among the best executed of the whole franchise:

The Dark Of The Moon prologue is my favorite out of all the Transformers movies.

Well, from what we've heard of The Last Knight so far, we'll be getting deep into the mythology of it, so that should be interesting at least.

Megatron figure from Toy Fair.

For me the first one was the best looking.

Very short.

and the one set on the road.

That's about half way through.

Not that much. The last hour is also overloaded with not so interesting action, but the first half of the movie is better balanced than DOTM imo.

Oh, well, that's probably I'm used to my shortened version which doesnt include all of that. I should try and watch the original cut again.

More Megatron from Toy Fair. These look like the CGI renders from the film.

Gotta say, that's the closest he's gotten to really look like his G1 design. Pretty cool, imo.

He actually looks scary now.

Given how he has the same red paint on him as seen in one of the posters, I guess he's also somehow manipulated by the Creators as well.

I still think these characters suffer from a massive case of over-design. Wish they would dial it back for once and make it easier on the eyes.

Umm...that's what they've been doing since Age Of Extinction.

Optimus' and Megatron's designs are much more simplified in comparison to their trilogy looks.

The Creators did something to Optimus, that's basically what we know so far.

Although we don't know if it was done against his will or if he did it of his own volition.

Optimus did say "Forgive me" in the trailer, so he might be reluctantly doing the Creators' bidding. It would be interesting if they persuaded him to turn bad, considering the events of AOF. The former seems more likely, though.

That and the "Rethink your heroes" tagline. That has to mean something.

Phasing him out for Bumblebee.

Ugh, I hope not. I hate Bumblebee as it is. Killing Optimus off for good and having Bee become the leader/possibly a Prime would be facepalmingly stupid.

The character's already overpowered/overrated as it is, imo.
