I saw the IMAX footage. I haven't been keeping up with these films. I only saw the first two, so I didn't know much about anyone in this movie. The footage was 30 minutes of short cuts to scenes throughout the film (probably from 1st act, maybe bits of 2nd act?) with the very last portion basically the trailer cut in.
The kids part was just as cringy as the trailers let on. Did not like their dialogue at all. And the girl, Izabella, I swear every emotional scene she had was a tear streaking down her cheek & very over-dramatic. It was as if Michael Bay was shouting, "Ok people, this is an emotional scene. Crank up the emotional music times ten. Bring on the tears." Like he had to hammer it into the audience. After awhile I started to chuckle. And that part where Wahlberg made that crack to Vivian about her dress like a stripper, and she said something like, "Well what do you want me to do, take it off?" It was just eye-roll. The character didn't seem believable at all. I thought Anthony Hopkins bit was good. I was surprise to see him in the movie. The one Cogman robot seem to have a little personality. But most of the clips were focused on the humans, Primarily Mark Wahlberg and the kids.
The little bit of action shown was what you'd expect from a Michael Bay movie. Didn't see any of the big major action set pieces, but saw a little of the battle scene of the King Arthur lore & some of the chase scenes with the kids and Mark Wahlberg. I guess the one thing this movie has going for it is seeing what the action scenes look like in 3D, considering the way it was shot. The rest of the movie......I'm uncertain about.
