Transformers: The War for Cybertron

Sounded like they only had time to do one. If it's any consolation, you're not missing anything. It's really barebones. You can only play as Soldiers (tanks) or Scouts and only use 2 abilities for each. No Jets or Leaders.

I can say that on the MP portion alone this game is everything I've ever wanted in a Transformers game. The action is off the hook, the transformation from vehicle to robot in the middle of combat is outstanding, an example of that would be when you jump a missile in vehicle mode, ramp come baring off the side of a hill, hit the transform button, transform, land and start opening fire...man...it's like everything I wanted to do when I was a kid playing with the toys I can do here.

Pure fun, I can't wait to be able to build my MP characters from the ground up.

I really wish there was a tutorial for the controls b/c i feel like an idiot in mulitplayer experimenting as the enemy is shooting at me. still, i'm looking forward to buying this game. it's a lot of fun

It's all about the scouts... Started as a soldier and didn't much care for it, but god damn, its so much fun zipping around as a scout. You get some speed up, boost jump off a ledge, flip around to the right to land on another ledge, transform in mid air, turn invisible, dash behind a decepticon, then get an instant melee kill from behind, transform again and zip away. Pure, undiluted awesome.

Played the demo yesterday. Surprisingly fun, and I'm not a MP guy at all. They really worked the controls for the various gameplay types together seamlessly. You feel very much like a TF, switching back and forth between robot and vehicle mode/shooting and melee really easily. It's really effective as a Soldier to weaken an enemy by shooting while you close the gap between yourself and him, then finishing him off with a melee hit. I may reconsider buying this game after all. My interest waned after I heard they were focusing so much on MP, but if the MP is genuinely fun and people aren't obnoxiously yelling into their mics nonstop (which they didn't when I played the demo), I could see myself playing the MP now and then.

Well my first real exposure to Transformers was the movies. Iv tried to go back and watch the old cartoons but they are just too corny for my tastes. I just prefer the models from the films and prefer it to be set on earth. The whole time i was playing the demo i was looking for the ability to transform into a Camaro.
