That is a stupid title. IT's completely random.
They're rebooting the Transporter series without you. How do you feel that?
You know what? It was obviously a great experience doing those films, and I would have loved to keep doing it. But they wanted me to sign on and do three more films without even seeing a script, and they offered me less money to do three than I'd get paid for one! So it was a business decision. I would have loved to have done it, but you can't really sign on without doing a script, and to sign on for three of them? And to get paid a pittance? I just couldn't see the value in that.
I'm not totally against reboots/remakes per say, but there's always a fallacy that comes with it. For example, some movies were legendary due TO THE actor.
Jason Stratham already had the Guy Ritchie movies under his belt by the time he did the Transporter films, so he had a cult following already. This dude..will always be known as the guy who LEFT GAME OF THRONES FOR THIS. Left Game of Thrones, one of the biggest shows on TV.
Also, Jason has a unique macho persona that he embodies, while this dude is just..generic and English. He's too young, he's too preppy.
