Went in to GameStop to pay off my DS Lite today, and low and behold the Nintendo rep was in putting up new DS Lite displays. Before he strapped the thing into it's holster he passed it around to the manager, assistant and me. Wow, this thing is mighty impressive, the pictures and junk we see on the net do not do it justice.

On it's LOWEST brightness setting it's AS bright as the current DS. On it's highest you can play that thing in glaring light and not notice.

The layout is also sweet, the buttons are "3D" if you will, the Mic is now in the center and it just feels so much better in your hands, and I'm the type of person that didn't have a problem with the original.

The white color isn't just plain old, easy to get dirty white either. It's more of an Enamel white
, with gloss coating over the top of the DS, very nice looking.

I can't begin to tell you how awesome the games look, in person on the higher brightness level. It takes New Super Mario Bros, and already nice looking game and makes it stand out so much more.

The Lite is going to own....hard. Stop by your local GameStops to test them out yourselves.

Ha, just stop by EB or GameStop, they SHOULD have them up by now.The Nintendo rep also said that if you play your lite on the lowest setting (Normal DS brightness) that you'll have about 20 hours before it needs recharged. On the highest level you'll get about 12 hours.

Wow, well i live in a little town with the closest game store like 1 hr away and i dont have my liscence(get it back next saturday(2 weeks???))

Just as I was clocking out for work a little bit ago at Circuit City, our Nintendo Rep arrived to switch out the DS Phat for the DS Lite. She had one that she carries around with her, which she let me try out while she installed the new system.

It's beautiful.

Yes, the screen is amazing. It's not even so much that it's incredibly bright, but that the colors are soooo incredibly vivid. I sat the DS Phat next to the DS Lite, had NSMB in both of them and put them on the title screen. The DS Phat looks horrible in comparison. It's like looking back at the original Game Boy and wondering how anyone was able to stand that screen.

The DS Lite feels at least half as light as the Phat. It's much smaller. Y'know, everything you've already heard, but much more than you would think.

The new stylus is nice. I like how it 'clicks' in and out of the slot that holds it.

It's just an all-around much better design in every way.

My excitement for this system has just increased incredibly.
