Tom Cruise owes Stiller big time for single-handedly saving his career. It's freaking true.

This is what it took for people to like Tom Cruise again. And after this, Valkyrie suddenly came out of movie hell and got a real release date right around the holidays.

yeah he really owes him something.because of this role people very happy. so they like him a little more. to bad that deep inside he will enver change. the guy can act very good.

I bought a can of booty sweat at the mall. Easily in the top five of the most distgusting things I've tasted.

ha

What do you expect from something called Booty Sweat?

Stiller was acting as always. RDJ was amazing. and tom cruise was also a big suprise. very funny. he needs a new comedy.
the humor was very good and thank god it was R.
I think Stiller can do better. I'd personally like to see him star in a non-comedy movie. Well, maybe something lighter, like what Will Ferrell did with 'Stranger Than Fiction'.

Are you serious, they sell Booty Sweat? How about bust-a-nut bars?

Awesome avatar by the way.

Oh, God. If the title's correct... I oughta stay the hell away from that bar:o

I wish all movies would get that quick of a release onto disc.

Damn. I missed this movie in theaters. Can't wait for the DVD! Thank God its not too far away. I thought we'd have to wait until December or January.

'The Soloist' pushed to next year
Oct 16, 2008, 09:17 PM | by Dave Karger

Categories: Best Picture

And another one bites the dust? Now I'm hearing that Nikki Finke's report at Deadline Hollywood Daily is indeed true, that Paramount/DreamWorks' true-life drama The Soloist, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx, is being pushed to 2009 as part of Paramount's overall decision to cut back on the number of films it releases each year. This is all happening after Soloist director Joe Wright (Atonement) was flown in from London to New York a few weeks ago to host an early screening of the film for high-profile Manhattan media types to kick off its campaign. While the film probably wouldn't have been a frontrunner for Best Picture, it would have had a shot at a Best Supporting Actor nod for Foxx, particularly because that category is shaping up to be one of the weakest this year. One guy who'll now certainly get an even bigger supporting-actor push from Paramount? Downey Jr., for his riotous performance in Tropic Thunder.

...really? It was great but I wouldn't call it Oscar calibre.

I assume Ledger will be nominated for Supporting actor?

If so I honestly don't know who I'd prefer to win, Downey Jr or Ledger.

I know, but with Ledger likely to get one for TDK they may be hesistant to nominate another "mainstream" film lest the Oscars start looking like the MTV Movie Awards. Plus I do think that while the role was good, he also at times hammed it up a little much for me personally.
