It's Arnold. Arnold with Cameron = awesome. Arnold without Cameron = awesome. Cameron without Arnold = overhyped bull****.

Yeah Red Sonja, Junior, Batman & Robin, End of Days, The Sixth Day, T3 and the upcoming Governator animated series proves Arnold without Cameron = awesome. :whatever:

True Lies. Much more fun and a better story, too.

Over the years I like True Lies more and more but I dislike Speed more and more. I'll admit that I'm and Arnold fan but TL was and has never been one of my favorite Arnold films. For me it was just like TL just clicked with me. But for some reason I went from liking Speed to not caring if it's ever on tv again.

By the way I think End of Days is underrated.

I really like True Lies but i really really hate Jamie Lee Curtis I like Speed but i don't like it that much. So my Vote Goes to True Lies because of the GOVERNATOR!!!

They're both awesome but I'd rather watch Speed.

I wouldn't compare them, True Lies being a comedy first and an action movie second while Speed is strictly action, but if I had to choose, I have to go with True Lies.

True Lies.
I can sit and watch True Lies any time I see it running.
I find it harder and harder to sit through Speed as time
goes by.

And John McTiernan! And Mark L. Lester! And Paul Verhoeven!

I'll give JM some credit. But I personally think he just makes bad ass action films.

You've gotta be joking about Lester. He made an unintentional comedy andthat's all.

And Verhoeven was making strong films but Arnold was arguably bringing them down. I mean seriously total recall would have been a lot stronger with a serious actor, I'd even settle for Bruce Willis.

Ignoring that James is arguably the one that gave him his star status
Jame uses Arnold in such a way that he appears to be a natural presence in his films. I remember an interview that said Arnold was originally supposed to play Kyle Reese. Any other director would have turned out another unintentional silly classic from AS, but to cast him as the robot just generated a strong film. Especially in the second. And then you watch AS in True lies and it's simply a real performance. No you tube clips about how silly Arnold is or anything.(Give me the page being the exception).

I should rephrase, Jame Cameron uses Arnold the best(followed very closely by John McT)

Strongly disagree. Total Recall was the perfect vehicle for Arnold at the time. Especially the direction Verhoeven was going in. An over the top sci-fi/action/adventure movie with some satire thrown in. The last 15 seconds of this scene is a good example of Arnold not bringing the movie down. The whole scene was well acted and choreographed. But the last few seconds was brilliant and sold me that Arnold wasn't playing his typical action hero role, imo.

I know it's 15 secs. But I've never seen Arnold act this vulnerable and scared in a scene before or after Total Recall. I actually found him very believeable.

And Bruce Willis would've just been John Mcclane on Mars, imo. This coming from a fan of Willis at that time in his career.

Mostly that proves he does his best work when he's not speaking.
Said film has far worse delivery than it does good.

I picked Speed. No disrespect to Arnold or James, but as a fun ride Speed was more fun for me. It was one of the few action movies that is truly wall to wall action. Speed from the start to finish it was straight action like a freight train. I love both movies, but Speed wins simply for being totally wall to wall.

True Lies without a doubt. Speed is okay, but at certain times in the film it's really boring to sit through.

Hunt For Red October isn't an action film at all, IMO. But it's fantastic never the less. Arguably the best submarine movie ever made.

I didn't even like Crimson Tide. Das Boot's ok but it's no HFRO.

You're kidding if you didn't think Lester, the *ahem* writers, Joel Silver and Arnold where all trolling us with Commando.

Verhoeven's style is OTT, not serious. If Chris Nolan where around back then, and did TL, that's when Bruce would've done the part.

I wholly concur with all of this. Jimbo is Arnold's number one collaborator. Easily. Here's hoping Simon West and Jee Woon Kim give us something as good.

True Lie FTW.. I mean you can't beat Bill Paxton pissing himself
